This Exhibition is a footprint in the sand on journey that has barely begun.

A collaboration that began with
a message in a bottle
flotsam that arrived as an
anonymous e mail one day
from the vast ocean of cyberspace.
A simple message
expressing the voice
of the heart of our
global culture.

SAY YES2PEACE

A practical illustration of the power of
the individual in the age of the internet,
utilising the concept of memes,
mind viruses as antibodies in the
conversational bloodstream of the culture,
employing the form of activism known
as "Social Acupuncture"
The power to make a difference
with a single act of conversation;
"A single drop of rain entering the ocean becomes the ocean"

The "Chalk4Peace" Photo Exhibition &Installation
is coming to a venue near you -
all you have to do is ask

"a real taste of the demonstration environment,
one that cannot be experienced through the
TV or newspaper"

Not only will visitors get to view
the amazing video photographic story
from the demonstrations
they will also have the opportunity
of making their own statement for peace
on a replica pavement
within the venue space.

"This is about empowerment, the people,
the culture that is common to all people everywhere"

"We are the culture
We are The future
We are the powers that be"

“a message in a bottle”

Over the past 12 months The “Say Yes 2  Peace”/”Chalk4Peace” project has hit the streets during the “Demonstrations For Peace” in Central London and  at the David Blaine’s extravaganza at Tower Bridge.

Pieces of coloured chalk with flyers encouraging people to participate were distributed at these gatherings, creating an opportunity people to make their own personal statement for peace.

“This has empowered and transformed the experience of those attending demonstrations. Turning a solitarily and spectator experience into one of participation and pure expression.”

The “Say Yes 2 Peace” project is rooted in the belief that the “Anti-War movement is fatally flawed.

That ANTI breeds ANTI

The mission statement of the “Say Yes 2 Peace” project is
to introduce a positive affirmation:
To shift the current paradigm of conflict to UNITY -
From a double negative
"No to War",
into a double positive
"Yes to Peace"

“a message in a bottle”

A unique collaboration ....
This picture was taken
at the
Demo4Peace in Sept'03.
The first artist chalked
the image of the
American flag and "CRIME".
He was subsequently
arrested for it.
A second artist then
added in red, the words
"CHALK IS NO CRIME"

The style of activism being employed here is “Social Acupuncture”using the concept of ‘memes’ – mind viruses, as antibodies in the conversational bloodstream  of our global culture.”

Thousands of ordinary people have been directly activated by this project at such locations as Hyde Park, Trafalger Square, and Tower Bridge. The phenomena is growing, at Trafalger Sq during the last Demonstrations on Sept 27th and Nov 19th, the entire square was coloured with slogans, pictures, poems, and symbols lasting for several days, exposing people who wouldn’t dream of going to a demonstration to the statement. Children and adults, young and old, got DOWN ON THEIR KNEES and MADE THEIR STATEMENT 4 PEACE with coloured chalk.

At the David Blaine extravaganza a mural 200 yards long was created by attendees.

This project is being mimicked around the world and people arebeginning to show up with their own chalk, recently in both Washington DC on Oct 25th, at the University of Colorado in Boulder and recently in Glastonbury
