Icicles

The icicles of frozen tears

tear at the fabric of my heart.

 

Pain erupts in spurts of anger and despair

Blood that is my very life

wasted,

draining

drowning my spirit.

 

May I have the courage,

the wisdom,

the strength to allow Life,

my creator, my lover my friend,

to cradle my delicate heart

in the warmth of the palm of her hands.

Slowly, gently, melting those icicles,

allowing me once more to be free,

to dance with the music of my life,

to dance with the rhythm

of the heartbeat

of creation.

To dance free once more

with my love

with my beloved.
