Here's a possible thread: it's my strong feeling that we're going to become more and more aware of the millennium as each day/week/month/year passes. that closed door that's now behind us has thrown the entire psychological weight of 'History' FORWARDS so that, instead of looking backwards at the long millennium that still controlled us, we shall be looking forwards to the millennium of evolution ahead of us. fraser.

Yes I see what you mean. I think too that one of the main factors that should be borne in consideration are the prophesies of the indigenous peoples of the Americas - which hail this as the Time of the Quickening when the right actions WILL make a change...

News Update on A Dearly Beloved Member of the Parallel YOUniversity Faculty

Happy 2000! from Christy (and Terence Mckenna):

Hello Everyone-

First,... We made it!

Secondly, I want to let you know that Terence and I just got the result from his MRI which was done on Jan 4th. The news is: the scans show no tumor growth and that the brain looks better than it did in the last scans done on Nov 22! There was notable healing from the invasion of surgery!

The doctors were pleased and maybe a bit surprised.

This routine MRI was tough. It's hard to gamble when you're not in the ood, even when you're feeling lucky. Cautious optimism is the name of the game.

Terence continues to heal, slowly. I feel myself getting excited, but it's so scary...

We apologize for our poor communication, but life is very overwhelming these days.

We love you, dearly.

LOVE, Christy and Terence.

IDEAS, IDEOLOGIES, OPINIONS & POLITICAL PERSPECTIVES WANTED!!! I am just about to write my third year media theory dissertation on ideologically disparate individuals uniting politically to change the capitalist consumerist 'system', using the Warp and Adbusters as case studies. There is obviously a lot more to it than this - but if you have any ideas, opinions, relevant websites etc or want to know more please reply. Please tell your friends or anyone interested or involved in making a difference to and indifferent and oppressive status quo. specifically to you warpers, do you have any rooted political outlook? as i mentioned i am going to be theorising and writing about you guys and trying to prove that the warp is valid in a situationist mould. I wouldnt want to misrepresent you. Where's it all going, what it says to the world at large. I think the warp is definately worthy of docuamnetation and although this project is primarily a dissertation for my degree it is certainly going to be made bigger and possibly published. There are ideologically important tings going on here...Do get in touch... Peace and positive vibes to ya...

A billion blessings to all parra- lectic youth. I was you're dj and experimental-campus c0-host of warps 0-9. I now have a juicey selection of digital delights that we hope to edit into a green mandala/ green angels live at the the warp compilation to be released. This 'bootleg' nonsense is exactly the reason that I will be distancing myself from the P.Y.bandwagon. Arn't you forgetting that the term 'the warp' was first coined by Niel Oram and is public property of any free thinking indevidual in the universe. I enjoyed the new millenium gig that they put on at the drome and i look forward to doing more shows there this year. I will not be aggreeing to stage manage or co-ordinate any other 24hr events as it's too much. The vision however, i'll carry on till the end. Watch this space to see what green angels/mandala has planned for this year, love and light matt.

simply the best party I have ever chanced to come across in my life; a fresh input of vitality into the greatly jaded London clubscene, but more than just a club, it's the story of your life! Long may it continue to grow in the peoples' hearts -

"The Warp" is the title of Neil Oram's play, in which he invested many years of lonely hard work as well as all his years of living. (wonder what other people were up to during that time) I happen to know he demands 10% of the door take on all performances of his play AND I AM TOTALLY IN AGREEMENT WITH THAT. Nobody has the right to "pass off" something else as his creation. Yes, it is now "public property" but onl;y the sloppiest of thinking would take that to mean that the creator does not get materially rewarded for his effort. The same would apply to The Warp Experience. Anyone who tries to "pass off" something else as that would be equally low, amoral and anti- community. I'd certainly hope that if I set up a zone at The RavElation Experience (launches on Feb 18th, NOT at the Drome) and called it the Green Angels Matt (and anyone else) would be the first person up in arms to prevent such barbarity, the barbarity, after all, which is destroying the planet. :-)

Trying to get as much info about the warp 'thang' as possible. Unfortunately did not get a chance to go to the warp before it finished, but recieved a flyer at Cosmic Carrot last weekend advertising the warp experience. What is going on? Is this a money making scheme that the dreaded dragonfly people have got invlolved in to make money or is it a tribute to the guy who wrote the warp? Someone please inform this uninformed individual of what the heck is going on. Email or leave message on uk.music.rave I hope someone out there can help me make the right choice on where to go on the weekend of 18-19th Feb. REDS

I didn't know there was a choice. The Warp Experience was put together, launched and achieved breathtaking success by the Parallel YOUniversity. It included the Warp play. Now the Parallel YOUniversity is re-launching in a new venue with the RavElation Experience. Sound simple enough? The play, The Warp, is, so I understand and in contravention to contractual agreements to the contrary, going to play once a month at the Drome, the original venue for the Warp Experience. Without getting into good and bad guys (and they certainly exist) that's the simple answer.

Rock on man, the insightfulness, the combined energies, the lack of modern judgement, and the opportunity to express oneself is provided - at Warp Speed. I'm proud to be a part of the revolution. Anyone else who's feeling a bit lost and lonely in this small island, feel free to drop me an email - this circle of mine needs to grow and combine with your own circles. Look forward to seeing some old faces, and making some new friends this weekend. AJ

Sorry i couldn't make to this Ravelation, but i heard good things from people who went. I already brought tickets for Raindance, last night, which was bangin. But they've screwed it right up since the days of Warp there. O well they get what they deserved, its no better than an Ministry of Sound. What next Dress code and no trainers or Caps and Pete 'commercial' Tong.

We are an independent record label and we need some help. Here at Canute we are looking for two people aged 60 or over to take part in the London debut of our first act Man Atom. His first single (It's A Sound) has been played by Peel, Lamaq and Xfm and since the stage show is fairly low key we distract the audience by having two older people sat in front/to the side of him while he sings. It is on March 11th early in the evening and will last 30 minutes. It will be at Notting Hill Social Club and is part of Rough Trades ROTO club night. There will be a payment as well as drinks. Please contact me at max@gbposters.demon.co.uk

Dear Fraser and the Warpettes, We love the Warp very much. Personal favourites are Megatripolis and the incredible hot tub experience. Myself and four friends attended at "The Open" last Friday/Saturday, 3 women and two men. We all agreed that the venue was vastly inferior to the Drome, and would have to seriously reconsider attending on a regular basis if it continued to be based there. The spaces were too small, disparate, busy, and the best rooms i.e. the Ground Floor Dance area where the music was totally brilliant, was spoiled by having to also be a major thoroughfare. But by far the worst feature was the omnipresent officiousness of the bouncers and the maximum-facially-pierced "gestapo agent" as my partner called him, who appeared to be their leader. Our friends were not even allowed back after going to the other spaces around the corner, despite their purple stamps. Namaste! William, ( + Jacqueline, Mark, Amelia and Alex) P.S. it is imperative for the mental health and superior well-being of anyone condemned to live in London, England, that we do everything in our power to bring back and improve the hot tub facilities...what do we have to do? P.P.S. please put us on your e-mail mailing list P.P.S. if you know anyone who would like to find the best hatha yoga school in London, or is interested in yoga retreats in Thailand and Turkey, we are the place (contact details below) P.P.P.S. thank you for the great joy you have given us William Robertson WEST LONDON YOGASHALA Basement 134 Gloucester Terrace (entrance Cleveland Tce.)  Friends of mine have mentioned to me that they have found it to be UNBEARABLY crowded. I missed the night and arrived midday Saturday and had a good time. However the dance floors closed at 6pm, what a strange time to shut down on a Saturday. I'm looking forward to the festival season....

Congrats on the new website look Geoff, you've got me inspired - thanks. Fraser - I love you and totally respect your work, vision, and courage. I love the cutting edge situation at Open - what an opportunity to take this vision out of the closet. Yes it is more challenging to create paradise in the west end than it was in the parking lot. We did it once, we can do it again, while touching many individuals who otherwise would never get to taste this feast. Third millenium consciousness leaves no place for competition. All is there to inspire us and to be a catalyst for our flowering - both individually and collectively. " Our planet is turning on its path around the sun. Earth mother is calling her children home. Light is returning, even in our darkest hour, no one can hold back the dawn. so keep it burning, keep this flame of hope alive, as we journey together through the storm."  Fraser - I thought ravelation was inspiring, beautiful and exciting. I missed the play, that I must say, but there was so much else going on to keep me involved that it didn't seem to matter in the end. I loved the spontaneity of everything - things would appear and expand out into their surroundings in minutes. It's the way it should be. Your vision is still there, and we can all still see it. Things may have changed, but with so much time ahead of us we can build whatever we want. Keep going, keep making the difference,

I think that it was brilliant and a refreshing change last week but I really feel that it was spoilt by the nazi like behaviour of some bouncers. All this having to go through security each time you went from one part to another, did my head in any possibility of making movement easier?

- Friday, February 25, 2000 at 15:15:00 (GMT)

I have been working outside the venue at Open, and I know what you mean about the security. They have never encountered people like us before. They have issues in the West End that are real life - non fluffy and have to error on the side of caution. They have public safety and licencing issues to take into account. We/you are part of the education process as we inflate the envelope of possibility, taking this wonderful vision into the heart of the beast. It was my experience that if I maintained eye to eye and heart to heart contact with the "stormtrooper" characters, the fluffy individual inside began to emerge smile and even groove a little. After all "fluffy" is the true nature of the human being isn't it ? The important thing is to be non- reactive, and maintain our "love vibe" as we have to with the police in order to move forward. This next gig will be radically different because their security is more attuned to who we are, and also there will be easy access between the two buildings across the coutyard. So it will no longer be necessary to go out of the club and re enter to go between the "Temple of dance" and the "Meta conceptual gallery" So put on your X ray glasses and let that which feels so intimidating be completely transparent as we continue with our Trance Dance Revolution/RaveElation www.infinitepossibility.org www.infinitepossibility.org/gvn

goddess! what a fascinatingly intelligent, quirky, inspirational debatathon this has become! i laughed, cried, cringed, cussed & cummed as i read all the recent stuff. suffice to summarise that the new venue LOVES us and is prepred to go as far as they can withi the envelope of the law to accomodate us. i even caught myself telling them to smile more at the last big meet at their office. access will also be possible and i ask all to treat it repsonsibly - if you want this thing to continue to expand and maybe even (whisper its name) BEGIN TO MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE. i love that which is True and Beautiful within you all - while attacking all that is low and miserable. watch out for my new t-shirt: I DO get involved in the politics!"

Well, what can I say, firstly a large pat on the back to all staff, crew, performers and DJ's who were a part of RavElation Experience 1. When you move such a large event to a new venue you are bound to have a few creases that need to be ironed out. All considering the evening was well received thanks to everyone involved. It is fine for people like Bettysnake to curse us.....Betty I dare you to stand naked on the terraces of Millwall - send us a photo!! But before you make idle threats, next time choose a better football terrace to stand on preferably at the top of division 1, as you will definately get more exposure.....and a chance at scoring in the stands. Acid bitch can you send a message of an intellectual stance next time. My message to Acid Bitch and Betty is the following:- Do you insinuate that we should tolerate, such diabolical audacity from insullent, insignificant scraps of humanity as you.....!!!! And to all you loving, lovely, fluffy, warm, hippies, zippies, activists, odd-balls, eccentrics, nutters, ravers and travellers - here's to the RavElation Experience II, see you on Friday....for fun, edutainment and enlightenment.  Hi every one. I had been to two Warp experiences before the Ravealation experience. I found i enjoyed it in the Drome slightly more. Please don't be put off by this because the Ravelation experience is the closest thing to my dreams. Appart from the slightly small rooms, the staff at The Open were for the most part horrible. I dont think they understood the vibe of the place and their idle threats reminded me of the world outside. Though if you forget about these SS troopers, the world outside dissappears and as I become fused with the people arround me I record this memory as one of my best and purest moments.

I have to say that I do agree with the comments about the security at Open, and also understand the preference for the Drome in terms of how suitable the venue was for the 'experience'. But in the spirit of change, lets get on with making Ravelation at Open what WE want. I for one had a brilliant time and met some great people! See you on Friday!

As one of the many individuals associated with the stageing of the RaveElation event, I want to publicly dis-associate myself with the "We" assumption in Miss Madatory's statement ......"Do you insinuate that WE should tolerate, such diabolical audacity from insullent, insignificant scraps of humanity as you.....!!!! To me this statement and the lack of consciousness that it represents does not include me or anyone else that I know of in the warp/raveletion community. It is not what I feel we as a consciousness revolutionary movement are all about. It belongs back in the second millenium along with global warfare and other forms of human beings abuse and insensitivity..... I personally do not consider any human being to be insignificant, no matter what ! .. Yes maybe Acid Bitch and Betty could have expressed themselves in a more constuctive way, BUT what do we as a movement have to offer if all we can do is stoop to "an eye for an eye " behavior ?---- Mahatma Ghandhi said it well "an eye for an eye and the whole world goes blind"............. So Mandy while I appreciate your many qualities, I invite you to consider an upgrade to Millenium 3-- People in this world need leadership inspiration and hope, that it what I feel the warp/raveleation movement is all about.  Greetings to all extra and terrestrial beings, in conjunction to the bigger picture of the"Psychadelic Revolution", I would like to say that there will never be a revolution without psychadelic people, who in turn reqiuire an environment suited to these needs; unfortunatly "Open" does not offer a consequence free environment for the likes of the real psy-trancers to enjoy. However, A venue like the Drome which was, and still could be ideal. If There was a focus on Trance music then the majic of this culture will come alive once again since its apparent death into commercialism only a few years ago.It is impossible to have the Magic AND the money unless you're loaded already....

The Warp Experience, (now the Ravealation Experience) has it's own smell... This may seem like a stupid thing to notice but think about it, has any other club/rave/festival have it's own smell? Doubtful! (if there is please e-mail me with details) Please don't waste this smell and find a new venue to accomodate it!

Hey, what happened? Took some friends to the Open club Saturday aft and it was shut! Open has always been an ironic name for the place but this was a surprise even for there. It must be the leyline! You're not on it! It flows from the Drome right through southwark cathedral (godshop) to centrepoint. You need to move a 100 yards to the north! Alternatively I found it hard to coax even the most diehard zipheads into a west end club for 15 quid they would only come saturday, maybe the finance dept needs a rethink.. The Drome is still the best venue, went there instead. But the atmosphere is fucked and the security are facist shits. Also there's too many commercial ripoff bastards there, including someone charging £5 for a packet of fags! Someone called it Glastonbury in a club once, bollox at least you can get in for free there!! Death to commercialised psuedo Warps bring back the real thing!! Side Slider the 3rd

AND A LITTLE CHILD SHALL LEAD THEM (St John) Children voted with their feet this weekend as none of them turned up for the new R@velation Experience, at Open, the new West End location for Parrallel Youniversity. Only the beautiful, ethereal headline grabbing 8 year DJ Welly, the Wonderkind Techno DJ, Llewellyn Owen and Amber, Graduate Greg's step-daughter (ish). And they both HAD to be there. As I turned up Saturday a.m. for what should have been the 12th hour or so, R@valation was folding and the dregs were retiring to the non-licensed side where I adjourned to help people lick wounds and imbibe a little of my favourite people. Welly did some drawing and writing while I chatted to his Dad, Barry and sister, Charisse. Quel scorcher. I released some of the pain that's been attempting a forced re-entry of late and with Para You crew/folks just about from equally dysfunctional backgrounds I found my anguish falling on pretty open ears. There is a God(dess) after all. Thanks guys. Sticking with my newly re-programmed 3rd Millennium wholesomeness, I attempt to sleep at night so I went home to sleep on Saturday night. Sunday morning was gorgeously sunny and turning into Stainer St. felt fab but not half as fab as entering the Drome. I felt I was coming home. As indeed I was. So many friends were there all participating, creating and enjoying the mellow, chillest, friendliest vibes everywhere. It was just like Parallel Youniversity's Warp Experience but without the cutting edge intelligence. I could live with that. The formula in its place was so sweet and homelike. Welcome home folks. Those familiar vibes of endlessly different sounds comfortably melding with each other as you moved from room to room under the enormous expansive rounded arches we all love. And did the children love it too. There were loads of them everywhere having heaps of fun, and yes, DJ Welly shot right past me on a mission of his own. He felt back home too. As he was. I'd introduced him to Camden from 'The Warp' yesterday @ Open and hey presto, he'd landed a part in the play. Today it was a walk-on part. Tomorrow, who knows. But his excitement reaches out beyond the stars if his smile's anything to go by! Children were everywhere, curled up sleeping, howling angrily at mother's and playing everywhere, especially in the Warp production room itself. They've taken it over. In that room, with those children, egos dont stand a chance for long. Truely the children own that space. As the children feel safe, so do you. You drop a purse with £50 in it and someone hands it back to you (thanks Corny). Yes, the owl has landed back home, the "festival in a cave" has returned with lots of loving people with good intentions and the children have voted with their feet. Sod the politics. Feelings rule OK. Warps 1 - 9 proved an unforgettable healing experience for me. Since then I've had to do a serious detox to make balance with the overindulgence and I've been doing some deep healing this Feb also but it was going to the Warp @ Drome that helped much of the experience over the last 6 months to gel for me. But enough about moi. At Open, the split site at Rave 1 was divided thus : 95% of the people (inc most of the crew) were dancing and indulging in the dance temple and 5% were in the intelligent/family side. What does that say about the whole affair? I thought people went to Para You for its intelligence, not its dance. Secondly, the current Warp Experience @ Drome (i.e. the Warp play + the Glastonbury in a cave environment) is most definitely Fraser's baby, and yet it is sadly estranged from its creator, mirroring the scientology line in the play and sadly mirroring the estrangement that Fraser experiences with his scientologist son Tristan. We all love you Fraser. We all feel like family. *& WE ARE FAMILY,*& Lets resolve this separation because we all deserve to find the courage to move forward together. Lotsa love everyone. Suze.

Fraser, hopefully by now you can trust my love for you and my respect for your vision enough to separate out this area of business from our personal relationship. Please listen and hear what I have to say to you. ..........Fraser, its time to wake up and smell the coffee. 3rd millennium talk requires 3rd millennium walk......Without the walk the talk is nothing but a meaningless noise barely audible above the traffic.............On the path of enlightenment there are thresholds to cross. Times when we have to let go of all our ideas, times when we have to realize that everything that we think it is, in fact is nothing more than the illusion that we are spinning in our attempt to superimpose our concept of reality on top of the actual reality that is beyond all of our attempts to conceptualize...................Three - dimensional reality is a scary place when we are afraid to let go of , the moment we do fear evaporates. A metaphor - It is the difference in experience between a parachutist free falling with a parachute, and without. Existence is infinite, there is nowhere to fall to, we don't need a parachute. ......... Those individuals who experience the twenty or so seconds of free fall, are actually experiencing flying with out fear of crashing...................You are loved so much by this community..............you have spun a beautiful dream for us - "The warp experience" and we are all extremely thankful. In your desperate scramble to stay in control of the movement you have spawned you are creating a nightmare, another war/battle of egos with a zillion justifications that mean absolutely nothing, excuses for continued millennium 2 type behavior...........The time is past for excuses, "there is no excuse for an excuse"....blame, condemnation, "them and us" thinking, all so justifiable in millennium 2 consciousness, hold no water in millennium 3...............No matter what happened between you and Adam, today, right now this moment is fresh and new and full of infinite possibility...........I don't give a s**t who did what to who, we all make mistakes.........The greatest lesson that a teacher has to teach is the posture of being a student, because it is only in that posture of being in the question that we are able to learn. The only way that you can teach the posture of being a student, is to be one yourself. "what can I learn from this situation"??? ,"what is missing here that if present would make the picture complete"????.............When the ship hits a rock, it is obviously off course. On a long journey it takes only a fraction of a degree off course to miss the destination by far................The ship is so obviously off course, if 3rd millennium consciousness is what you are attempting to manifest........Integrity, trust, respect, sensitivity, enlightenment are all missing from the project at this time.....if a nightclub in the west end run by a tight, exclusive, elite inner circle is what you want at any price then have at it ! If you really want to achieve what your life's work suggests that you want achieve, look in the mirror of your community and see the reflection and take responsibility for what you have created.........Adam is 100% willing to work with you again - he agrees that it is a priority for this situation to be healed. This is not because "he needs you"...frankly he doesn't. The gig at the Drome is in motion and will continue to become full on again, because the formula and the climate are right, and it is what we the community want. We want this situation healed because it is a poison in our community, and because we love and appreciate you and your piece of the puzzle, but this phenomena that you have been instrumental in birthing, is bigger than you or any one of us.....................Right now the Drome is the perfect venue for it, and is perfect for you to experiment with your Parallel Youniversity project......................S top...........T hink............O rginize.........P roceed. Take a look at what you are manifesting, the trust in you that you are betraying, the cynicism that is resulting in the individuals' hearts that you are abusing...................Dominique for example, who has been so 100% committed to working on the project, so much enthusiasm, dedication, every day between the gigs, holding such a sweet special place at the gigs, refusing to listen the mutitude of voices telling him not to work with you, so much in respect of you now disheartened and feeling totally abused by you.................Is this what you want for your legacy? We all know that you are not a malicious man and that you heart is sincere. Fear makes us all do things that we are not proud of............... In the nazi concentration camps, when they opened up the trap door down into the gas chambers, they would find a pyramid of tangled bodies woven together in death as they clawed their way like maggots over each other, desperately trying in vain, to reach the trapdoor, knowing that to be absolutely the only glimmer of hope for survival. ..............We all realize that it is the desperate survival instinct that moves you to behave the way you do, but in this the 3rd millennium, a new way is emerging. We are beginning to understand the infinite perspective, the bigger picture. This is a wonderful opportunity for us as a community and you as an individual to heal old wounds that go back through time. Your childhood wounds that set your frantic fear behavior in motion.........Fraser, if we can figure this out and move forward together, we have dealt with some of the fundamental issues facing our species at this time......If you really don't want to be involved with the warp experience phenomena then please quit the warlike behavior, because even if you mount a successful court case and close the Drome, you will have lost sight of the big picture, your personal integrity and the respect of your community. viziondanz www.infinitepossibility.org www.infinitepossibility.org/gvn

here's a possible thread: it's my strong feeling that we're going to become more and more aware of the millennium as each day/week/month/year passes. that closed door that's now behind us has thrown the entire psychological weight of 'History' FORWARDS so that, instead of looking backwards at the long millennium that still controlled us, we shall be looking forwards to the millennium of evolution ahead of us. fraser. fraser - Sunday, January 09, 2000 at 00:51:38 (GMT

PS.....Listening to the warp CD just now I find myself crying with the beauty and deep sadness that I am experiencing about the state of the warp experience - the incredible beauty that you have been a channel for and how it has all turned out to be such a mess with so many people hurting including you…………………………………………………….The beast lives and moves within us and between us – it is not the government/the system. It is not Adam or each other. It is what happens when we feed and allow the beast within to dance wild —–The beast = fear, fear is nothing more than a shadow, it is not real, yet it can shape our reality —– ——We all have to lose everything sooner or later – -even our breath – The sooner we let go and allow existence to run its natural course with as little intervention than is really necessary for our actual survival and growth— the sooner peace will occur for us here…………... Fraser you have such a beautiful powerful aperture through which vision shines…………... let go and join the dance………. THE PARTY IS ALL AND EACH OF US………. FOR ALL AND EACH OF US…….. IT IS A GIFT FROM AND OF LIFE ITSELF…………….1+1=11………….UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL…………………….The flaw that I see with the club aspect of this situation is that you have made it one or the other………………….Both situations can coexist and feed each other………….The west end is a perfect place to push the envelope but we need the safe environment that the Drome allows, to play and experiment with who we are — to get strong in who we are…………….BUT THE FLAW REALLY IS THE FEAR – THE LACK OF TRUST and the resulting behavior that shows up as your need to control and manipulate. The party goes on with or without you Fraser, it is our deep desire that it is with you...:)...www.infinitepossibility.org... www.infinitepossibility.org/gvn

A Personal Matter Dear Fraser, I have been thinking for a while now how to commence this message to you and I assume the best way is by thanking you for this most certainly very amazing and adventurous time I shared with you. I believe I have learned a lot in professional- but even more so in human terms and as for me the low aspects on the experience scale also have their particular value even this last episode in our relationship should not be regretted. It did start quite beautifully, this relation of ours, didn’t it? Down at the Drome, Warp 1 it was, with me helping out in the gallery and you coming in to have a look at what we had come up with. I didn’t know who you were then but there certainly was a connection between us, as I felt. And then that first time I came round to your house and we were making yoga in the garden, you talking about the zippy tour to America and me telling you about my dreams. Was I impressed? I think respect for you and your life hits it better. At that time I had not yet come across all these people out there who are so bitter about their experiences with you. And quite frankly I did not want to hear. I wanted to make up my own mind about you and so I did. And I always thought that you were not as bad as the rumours made you. I also always believed that you must have learned your lesson ever since. Megatripolis is quite a while ago and being thrown out of your own club must have opened your eyes at least a little bit. But who knows, maybe some things never change. And during all this back and forth with the Drome we were always standing in between the frontiers. As you know, I never believed that Adam was just evilly scheming to rip your name of, neither did I want to accept that you could be capable of stealing money of the people that make it happen for you. But we always stood by your side and I don’t want to recall the number of arguments that I fought standing up for you, justifying the gig, the mission and certainly also myself and my involvement with you. And yes, I always did believe that we could make a difference. That it was not about the money, not about egos and fame. But I should have listened to all the warnings. Going to the West End for something as delicate as the Warp Experience, getting sponsorship by something as naf as the Warp Energy Drink and putting up with a security that is too rude to be true. And even more pressing were all the friends who warned me that I would undoubtedly one of these days end up where I am right now – disillusioned and frustrated about you. The other day when I came round to your house you told me that this year’s guideline was the family, as your annual I-ching had told you. But what kind of understanding of a family do you have. In good times you can rule as an ancient monarch and when it comes down to putting up with the negative side of the coin you want us all to stand together and take the blame for your actions. And how can you seriously believe that you could exploit the alternative, fluffy scene for a drunk West End audience only to make your club special, without giving the respect and appreciation needed. You never made an effort, Fraser, to personally meet all these wonderful people that make your parties happen. And quite frankly, to me this would be common sense. After Ravelation 1 I advised you that putting on another gig two weeks later would be unwise. I warned you, don’t do it. But you did not want to listen, you probably thought you would loose your face against the Drome and couldn’t accept a failure – open up Fraser, the general feedback from Ravelation 1 was negative. Didn’t you hear the babble of Babylon. It was solely out of sympathy for you that I decided to make it happen. Do you actually realise that your clubs wouldn’t happen without us. But believe me, Fraser, I would have walked out of Parallel Youniversity even before you treated me like this. But maybe this was needed to finally open my eyes. And you are a powerful man, well aware of your charming powers. I don’t know how many times I went to yours, angry about the lack of communication and the way you always treated us when we were not essentially needed and then ended up not being able to express this anger because you would just charm it away. But I suppose you are well aware of this, anyway. You see, this last episode made it all so clear – the way your character works. All these ‘did I tell you guys how great you are’ attempts to charm us up seem so false and strategic now. You know, Fraser, it doesn’t feel nice to realise that you just used my energies for your own purpose. But you couldn’t have lowered yourself further than at our last meeting. ‘Happens all the time in raveland’? - this ain’t good enough. You can’t just sit there emotionlessly, shrug your shoulders and pretend that it was none of your business. It seems fairly elemental to me, Fraser, but maybe you need to be told that if you make promises you should also hold them. At least have the courtesy to apologise. But to tell me bluntly that, if I demanded this money for my people, you would chuck me out of the ‘family’ was, to be quite frank, nauseating. Really, this family doesn’t seem worthwhile being in. So that was it, dear Fraser, that’s how our involvement ceased and to be honest, I feel very relieved. I had hoped that my decision might also trigger some kind of insight process in you but after I heard that you would not speak to me until I was in an apologetic mood I gave up all hope. Come on, get real! It made me laugh and I’m glad I can take it like this now. Nevertheless Fraser, as stated in the beginning of this letter, thanks a lot for this inspiring time with you. Don’t misunderstand me, I don’t hold a grudge against you but hope for you to some day find the strength to understand your share in all the upsets and problems that occur around you. You’re a beautiful soul and could most certainly be a real asset to this world. Love and Respect Dom Spiral

this is not just to fraser it's to us. I keep feeling so sad, just like i've woken up and my heart has been removed. why has the magician turned himself into a person who will not listen to what we all need to say to him. why are we all wandering round like babes lost in the desert, it's not much fun, it doesn't have to be like this. the whole thing was supposed to be about caring for each other and having fun. it wasn't perfect, I hated the smoke, I wanted the debates and discussions to work, the loos are still disgusting, we were getting overwhelmed, yes, a move could have been a good thing...... and now we're back at the drome it seems. i'm going to miss your magic, your pizzzazzz being there keeping the pot stirred. this is not about taking sides, its about staying where the energy is. fraser is a mystery man. he'd be more than welcome to come to kingsley hall on sunday. it would be really cosmic if we all of us were there and ended up saying sorry with passion and deciding that we all need to support the process of coming out on the other side of this one. lots of human beings have done that kind of thing. we don't have to stay stuck. love raga

I know you think that you are moving on Fraser, but I have to tell you that while you carry your anger and venom towards Adam, you are not moving on. - - please take the opportunity for healing this situation and join us at our gathering/picnic in Kinsley hall, sunday 3pm - One world, One race - the human race..... You are only a victim in your own mind, embrace a new possibility for yourself, Adam, the relationship between you two and for the human race. ... Remember no one is immune to the possibility of epiphany.... I love you :) www.infinitepossibility.org www.infinitepossibility.org/gvn

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT IS GOING ON? one day I find my self surrounded by beautiful people and then I find myself in the middle of a feud. we need to gather in one place, how about alternate weekends at the drome and at open? As long as you guys (all of you) are there then it will be good. Let's not fight, let's carry on spreading love and that vibe that IS there at RavElation too. THE CROWD CARRIES THER VIBE....someone email me if you have ideas or opinions, I'm not involved in the organisation of these events but I think we should show our support for cool events like this, I have been waiting years to experience the likes of this....Rave on!

Blimey. Fraser has been an incredible influence on many people. He has vision and courage. I definetly believe he helped the WARP happen. And we all made it it happen too. So lets carry on. The work we all put in to make the feeling that so many people have loved belongs to all of us. Lets carry on. We made something happen let it happen more.... Dan

all the spin doctors tell me to stay clear of public debate. but that’s not my role. i DO get involved in the politics, and recommend everyone to do the same. if we all just shut up and chant our mantras this world is not going to change. and we’ll never be a ‘community’ until we take our courage in our own hands and begin to stand by each other. . i may write you on a more personal note, dominik, but, since you’ve posted on this matter publicly, i’ll have to answer some of your points. most of what follows is not specifically aimed at you, but rather at all younger people in Rave Culture, especially young promoters - and the promoter is almost the very essence of Rave Culture - GET UP AND DO IT YOURSELF! i’m actually working on an ‘ADVICE FOR YOUNG PROMOTERS’ booklet which begins: “RULE ONE - If the party’s a success, the people made it happen. If anything goes wrong, it’s the promoter’s fault.” the seemingly saddest thing about life is that you can’t stop other people from making their own mistakes. i fondly thought my lifelong search for truth was on behalf of everybody in some way but life is forcing me to see them’s just not the rules of the game. so what can an “Older Brother” pass around then to the young (or older, of course) whose light he sees and loves? the irriversible logic would dictate it can only be patience and tolerance of people’s mistakes! and so i release you and let you go, with best wishes for your soul and hope that you live a good life. you won’t understand this for a few weeks, a single warp, or some years, but you are going to pay the price of a big mistake. don’t be proud to come back and say sorry, and i’ll be your friend. one last thing, more precisely to do with this situation. i cannot see any other way of regarding this matter than this:- you are, naturally, free to leave me and the Project whenever you like and with my full blessing as a friend and ally. but going off to work for adam williams (the sole boss and profit-maker from anything that might happen there) on his rip-off of my entire concept that transformed his horrible car park is to NOT be my friend. surely you see this! you say you never believed all that negative stuff about adam but all we ever said about him was that he was trying to rip the thing off and, now that he’s actually done it and is doing it, i don’t see how you can say we were wrong. and, if you remember, it was the hive at the drome under his tutelage who were putting out the negative energy about *us* - not the other way round. remember when we finally “declared war” and decided to fight back? warp 8, right? that’s how long we persevered to work on a human, cooperative level! brian’s nonsense is just that. all along he kept declaring that it was all for the best if people copied it and i’d say yes, we want this thing to spread, everywhere, we want everyone to copy it. but NOT people from outside the scene, not sharks who are only out for themselves (and never even CONSIDERED any other way of living) who will only siphon off OUR money from OUR scene. that’s the recent history of this world, no? and now you’re becoming part of it. i love you nevertheless, dom. you have a good heart, and i wish you well in the bad old world out there. fraser. and now i must answer some of the public charges you have leveled. >> At that time I had not yet come across all these people out there who are so bitter about their experiences with you. care to name one or two witnesses of specific instances? look, i could produce a hundred positive viewpoints for every negative you could produce, but so what? in the end you just have to make your own moral decisions, you can’t expect everyone, at different levels of spiritual development, ever to agree. try sticking your head over the parapet yourself one day and see how many weirdoes take pot shots at you. it goes with the course, the course of helping save the big P. >> I also always believed that you must have learned your lesson ever since. Megatripolis is quite a while ago and being thrown out of your own club must have opened your eyes at least a little bit. i was locked-out by the two business partners (read adam in this latest fractal) who i’d brought in to count the money (or provide clean toilets).. i won all moral and legal aspects of that case and shall do in this case. >> And during all this back and forth with the Drome we were always standing in between the frontiers. As you know, I never believed that Adam was just evilly scheming to rip your name off. SO WHAT DO YOU SAY NOW? what exactly do you need to SEE before you’ll believe it? it is totally beyond me how you can run to a proven snake who rips people off on an almost weekly basis (like specific examples from ACTUAL WITNESSES?) simply because, for once, i’m unable to fully pay you what i promised. oh, you’re going to be so sad and disillusioned. if it ‘succeeds,’ which is highly unlikely since too many of the REAL community, by which i mean somewhat wiser souls than a coupla young hotheads (in which i’d include brian, at best!), long ago realised the situation, then you will simply be pushed aside by adam (as he pushes people aside regularly - CARE FOR SOME EXAMPLES?). he wants to build a super-tecno palace there for coke-snorting yuppies and he saw in the Warp Experience a way of making enough dough to get himself there. if you think RavElation was expensive, try asking him what he’s going to charge the Gary Glitterati he’s after and belongs to. ask, but don’t necessarily believe. here’s a quote from zak which came in after your and brian’s small “meeting” on sunday: “Went to Kingsley Hall yesterday!....we all spoke about what was going on!... I purely believe that the warp experience was a momentary occurrence, and to recreate that is futile as the components are not all there!” that about says it. it’s certainly softer than mother superior’s response to the invitation to attend: “The Warp Experience was last year, we’re in the 3rd millennium now, get a life, i wouldn’t waste a valuable afternoon on such half-assed, backward-looking, sentimental nonsense.” sorry to everyone who’s missing it, but i don’t make the rules. take what you got, spread it where you can and, who knows. we may appear again, better, and sooner than you think. or maybe not. :-) >> neither did I want to accept that you could be capable of stealing money of the people that make it happen for you. this is below you, dominik. you’ve seen the details of every penny on every budget since the start, and come round later to sweetly wheedle a lil more from the small emergency kitty i tried to put aside for a rainy day, right? adam tried to steal that £1000, as everyone knows, unless you believe his story that he hid it for 8 hours until the Warp Co crew were in total hysterics and everyone was baying for my blood (as he intended). i should have called in the police that night, i’m always too soft. :-( >>But we always stood by your side and I don’t want to recall the number of arguments that I fought standing up for you, justifying the gig, the mission and certainly also myself and my involvement with you. turns out you were right about the gig, right about the mission, and, until you got a mere taste of the hard side of the planet-saving game, you were still ‘right’ about me too. :-) >>Going to the West End for something as delicate as the Warp Experience, lots of people were against an unhealthy, poisonous car park called the drome, which was in the wrong part of town and with no tube at the time. >>getting sponsorship by something as naf as the Warp Energy Drink identical to red bull. you’d prefer to be associayted with sponsorship from booze companies, bondage parties and porno movies like the drome, would you? i’m PROUD we found a non-alco drinks firm to sponsor us. and the day you refuse to eat chips i’ll believe you’re in a position to lecture me on food morality (or mortality). >>and putting up with a security that is too rude to be true. we didn’t put up with it, as you well know. we had many meets with Open management, and they made many promises and, indeed, tried their absolutest hardest to adapt to us - which, it turned out, they actually couldn’t deliver, as we saw at Rave 11 when we decided to pull back. i still plan a more music-based club there, giving a whole new generation their first flavour of the New World in the ‘gallery,’ but that’s another story. nut to those who loved the 2 RavEs - WWEE SSHHAALLLL RREETTUURRNN!!!! >>The other day when I came round to your house you told me that this year’s guideline was the family, as your annual I-ching had told you, But what kind of understanding of a family do you have? the Family hexagram (read Posse) talks of the importance of having the right people in the right positions at the right time. it was an annual prediction and we’re clearly sorting out the right people. hear this and ponder, dominik. beefy, jimmy, robert, marco, kirk, graham, chriostine, mandy, paul roggendorf (who made your mistake once and got roundly fukked) suzanna, massage zak, and several others came up to me after my £6000 loss and said “fraser, i know you lost money, i don’t want you to pay me”. these people are wise. these people are READY for a “community, a Family. you, when your head has deflated from its mega big-out, will see that we set this up to HELP you and others, and we did! your ego swelling so out of proportion is a common enough problem if you read the history of any pop group. here’s another of zak’s comments: “Too many people are adopting the "this is a family" philosophy, maybe "a gateway for collective mind" should be adopted. that way when people bounce off into their own dreams you wish them a fairwell and a good bye!” your small ‘group meeting’ is only a few people of the thousand regular good souls we were attracting, who were in turn still only a small fraction of our overall possible ‘community’. >>In good times you can rule as an ancient monarch and when it comes down to putting up with the negative side of the coin you want us all to stand together and take the blame for your actions. the board meeting agreed to go forward, including YOU. >>And how can you seriously believe that you could exploit the alternative, fluffy scene for a drunk West End audience only to make your club special, without giving the respect and appreciation needed. now i’m exploiting the fluffy scene!? rather than playing a large part in bringing it together in the first place?! i’d give up the ‘Mission’ now and ‘retire’ from this world of nonsense, and nearly did before i came back for this Last Hurrah, but i sense fantastic developments ahead, and i can see the Enormous Good Karmic Wind the Parallel YOU has built behind its sails. we created a glow, like a star nebula, and many have noticed and are, even at this minute, heading toward the light. when you’re older, you will move beyond judging things by the standards of next week’s party. :-) >>You never made an effort, Fraser, to personally meet all these wonderful people that make your parties happen. apart from spending 24 hours at each warp experience wandering around talking to everyone that wanted to, and that was most people there!. i admit, though, that my workload prior to Rav 1 did not allow me to spend quality time with people . >>After RavElation 1 i advised you that putting on another gig two weeks later would be unwise. I warned you, don’t do it. But you did not want to listen, you probably thought you would loose your face against the Drome and couldn’t accept a failure ‘failure’ is not that much a problem for me, dom. every great attempt i have made has ended so. not because of ‘something in my personality’, as a superficial view might make it seem, but simply for the reason that as soon as you get an idealistic project off the ground and it starts to look powerful and especially when it FINALLY begins to become COMMERCIAL then bigger and bigger sharks get attracted and ... the rest is history. if you think it must be something in me then it’s your duty to name a few, even ONE would do, who HAVE managed to take it all the way, or even pretty far. and, after all, what did you expect? that a planet that needed saving would be full of kind, considerate, cooperative power-holders? i don’t think so. WAKE UP! practise pure love if you like, it can make you feel good inside while the bastards at the top are internally suffering for their sins, but FOR GOD’S SAKE don’t expect your project will save the world as well!! certainly it never has. not even once in history. has it? something much more hard-headed must be added for the right mix. if there IS a right mix, which events like this sometimes make me wonder. :-( >>Fraser, the general feedback from RavElation 1 was negative. Didn’t you hear the babble of Babylon. didn’t you hear the babble of siren voices at the drome too? and be reasonable, we had 2000 people in and turned hundreds away at the door. what businessman (or lover) would have called it off? >>It was solely out of sympathy for you that I decided to make it happen. the thought of riding your new wave all the way never once crossed your mind? lots of us saw you hovering on the brink, spreading your power base, bringing in your own friends, refusing to lower budgets, come on, get real. >>Do you actually realise that your clubs wouldn’t happen without us. and there we finally have it all. i find it totally incredible that you could perceive things so totally out of reality. if you recall i held back on putting you fully in charge. and how impatient you were, how threatening and blustering you were. well, next time, when i give a young person like you such a Once In A Lifetime Chance, i’ll play the ‘medieval monarch’ a lot, LOT longer. that’s DEFINITELY one of my conclusions. >> All these ‘did I tell you guys how great you are’ attempts to charm us up seem so false and strategic now. i did make a deep mistake. it was backing you up so FULLY, always supporting you, giving you your head, and HOLDING BACK FROM CRITICISING you in order to build your confidence and bring out your true creativity. i think i can honestly and humbly predict that you will never again in your life work for someone who will allow you nearly as much initiative. yet i now see clearly that i was wrong and i definitely am to blame. it did not HELP you. next time i intend to be much much more critical, and much more “monarchically interfering!”. next time i shall press you much harder about the fukkin sound systems taking over, about not controlling your DJs when we wanted to introduce the debates etc. oh yes, i shall demand what i know is needed and tell the next young genius EXACTLY where hir authority ends. because, as i see now, it’s not fair at all to let young guys like you think you’re so great when it’s the position that’s doing most of it. believe me, there were some folk at megatripolis who thought they were so important at the time. they’ve pretty much disappeared, never to properly surface again since. i certainly hope that won’t be you, and i mean that. >>You know, Fraser, it doesn’t feel nice to realise that you just used my energies for your own purpose. sweet jeezuz help us. >>But you couldn’t have lowered yourself further than at our last meeting. ‘Happens all the time in raveland’? - this ain’t good enough. You can’t just sit there emotionlessly, shrug your shoulders and pretend that it was none of your business. i just lost around £7000 (depends how you juggle it, and how many take your attitude, none of which i can control) and you perceive me as seeing it as ‘none of my business’, you young asshole!? and, besides, it seems like it IS “good enough” for you - since you’ve just returned to the centre of it at the drome! >> It seems fairly elemental to me, Fraser, but maybe you need to be told that if you make promises you should also hold them. At least have the courtesy to apologise. But to tell me bluntly that, if I demanded this money for my people, you would chuck me out of the ‘family’ was, to be quite frank, nauseating. i could have put it more softly, i was a bit under pressure, that’s for sure, and i apologise for that. but, for the record, what i said was that if you weren’t prepared to take it like a man and keep your shoulder with the rest of the team and wanted to treat our common project (in which you’d been demanding a contract and a PROFIT share for weeks before) as a business relationship, then you should bill me. which you’ve now done. what i spared you by not going on to say it was this: if you choose to go the business route, then you bill me and wait a month. then you send me a reminder and wait another month. after another month, if there’s still no payment, you take me to the small claims court. if you win that claim and i still don’t have the money, then you take my company to court for unpaid bills and force the company into bankruptcy AND YOU STILL DON’T GET PAID, and i’m entirely free of the company’s debt. that’s how the business world stacks up, it happens a thousand times a day in every ‘civilised’ country - and guess who stacked it up that way? still fancy it? >>Really, this family doesn’t seem worthwhile being in. i’m very much afraid it’s the other way round, dom. every hard time can show a profit if the attitude is right. this one has outlined exactly who is mature, experienced, spiritually committed and determined enough to work as a team, and who is still too involved with themselves and their own immediate needs to be a member of any family. the family and the project are thus strengthened. >>I had hoped that my decision might also trigger some kind of insight process in you but after I heard that you would not speak to me until I was in an apologetic mood I gave up all hope. i still say the same. and i mean it. even if the warp thing ‘succeeds’ (perhaps especially!) you will be thoroughly disillusioned, and will face a very very hard realisation. others like yourself have needed several years to realise such things. anyone in a similar position only need to apologise and i’ll help as much as i can. paul just came back, re-joined the organisation on the lowest level, and i hope he rises fast. i have to allow people to make their mistakes. Love and Respect Dom Spiral Dom Sprial good bye, dear dom. i love you underneath all that anyway, and, even though you’re working with a snake who has ripped off my biggest and best creation yet, i promise to TRY, when the water has settled and the bridge is clear,. to rise above my Self, give yuo a big Hug and say “Hello, my friend!” fraser.  Dear Scribes of romantic, dramatic, words of personal feelings and emotions. What all who have volountarily had their say in the mundane disagreement between the two parties concerned reminds me of what happened in the O.J. Simpson case, where everyone and his monther got involved and justice was not done. Everyone has forgotten that this is a business dispute not a personal matter. But because people - not mentioning any names, you know who you are! have put their mouths and opinions where they were not needed has turned this into a public fiasco which it should not be. If everyone focused more on their own lives and energy for a moment and let the dust settle so that the tower of deceit that has been built through pure gossip may have a chance to be knocked down - so that we may build new positive foundations for our ideas and creativity - for the future of all mankind. FRASER I LOVE YOU AND BELIEVE IN YOU AND WILL ALWAYS STAND BY YOU....I KNOW THE TRUTH..... LOVE & PEACE, Miss Mandatory.

Mandy, this is EXACTLY what the issue is all about. In the world of the 2nd millenium, business comes before people.....In the NEW WORLD ORDER OF LOVE that we, the cutting edge, so called enlightened community are attempting to bring to our planet, people come before business... Or I should say, the business of life is people, us, our real needs - food, shelter, hopes, dreams, happiness, PEACE....Fraser's disagreement with Adam is all of our business..it effects all of us....it has split our community......robbed us of an event that we love, that has transformed many lives, and has been a gleam of hope, possibility for many as to where we can go from here if we get our sh*t together.....The issues that it is flushing to the surface are exactly the issues that we as a species need to learn to trancend if we are going to be able to move forward into that garden that we all desire........Your business pespective while useful in some areas is also responsible for dampenning the spirit of this movement...the closed doors where we have been excluded from the process of creating the magic of the RaveElation fiasco...it was not a flop for any other reason than the lack of vision at the top .....you, jimmy, fraser and mysterious "backers" huddling together making decisions based on your limited perspective...over extended, falling short... because of the lack of involvement of the rest of the community, who you expected and took for granted would follow you like sheep 'cos it was a great party.....It was a great party, even the last "flop", it was only a flop from the promoters point of view.....Adam and Fraser's dispute is no different from any other war where the leaders' ego trips effect the lives of innocent people......We all f**k up, if we are going to build castles on our f**k ups, what hope is there....all human beings are innocent, you - adam - fraser - me, if we knew better we would do better, why would be do otherwise?....evil is a 2nd millenium concept..... it is an illusion, it is a manifistaion of fear and lack of faith, and yes it can effect our lives in a radical way, but was only a shadow in the first place reacted to over and over again, until it spills out into three dimensional action that hurts and violates individuals' lives.........to quote a good friend ""the other 9/10 of our brain is not there for decoration""....use it guys..get off it fraser and crew...get back on the love/vision train....blaming and making enemies is just an excuse for not taking personal responsibility for your stuff......Millenium 3 is a radically different movie, check it out I love you :)......Viziondanz..http://infinitepossibility.org..........http://infinitepossibility.org/gvn/nwo

Dear Fraser When I read through your gigantic message for the first time I felt tempted to go into every single one of all the issues that you address in so much detail and with so much passion. But, after sleeping over it for a night I decided that I prefer to climb out from this mud fight. My decision to voice my emotions and thoughts about our co-operation and the way it ceased on the internet was not to simply through mud at you or with the intent to hurt you because you hurt me - much rather did I want to involve the community in what I think is their right to know. And to you, Mandy, this has nothing to do with spilling business secrets. This is about letting the community know about the bigger picture. Integrity is not just a word. And certainly it is also a warning based on my own experiences. So Fraser, quite frankly I just can't believe that someone like you who claims to recreate our society and renew consciousness lowers himself to outbursts such as 'you young ashole'. I can see that you are hurt, Fraser, but please don't just act and talk out of hurt. Pride and Ego and great stepping stones, even for you – and certainly for me, too. But, I am sure that by me telling you this, it just enforces your conviction that I am an ego-blown up, arrogant youngster - maybe you should cease to put people who oppose you into a labelled box. As Brian says so very truly. If we can't get over pointing fingers and throwing accusations then we have nothing to offer to the posse, the family or whatever you want to call it. You see, I am not going back to the Drome to support Adam in his ‘rip-off scheme’ – ‘cause that is not what is happening. The energies that were thrown out of direction and balance through your silly dispute (meaning all of you) are wanting to form somewhere, where it is possible to experience the beauty of community. And as Ravelation was not capable to offer this it seems only natural to go back to the root, the theatre, the wide open space. I'm going there because a lot of people have asked me to do so, because there is no point in keeping the community apart for silly reasons. To me the whole development with Ravelation and the Warp at the drome felt like two lovers who were forced apart. Both seemed bare and lacking without the other. Now one side just imploded and the other is still there and waiting. So I am going to call back together all the wonderful people that made it happen in the first place (don't worry - I don’t think you really know any of them) and enjoy a really good party. And as a little side effect: evil and horrible as they are – they stick to financial promises being made. But in fact this is one thing you heavily misunderstood in our dispute. My frustration with you was not about money. If you recall - I told you that I was not interested to get a penny of what I was being promised personally. I am aware of the huge loss that this must have been for you financially and I sincerely hope that you are okay for yourself. But to not give a flying Fu’k about promises you sincerely made is another thing. And you know well enough that my concern were always the people that put their energy in it for us, the musicians, performers, DJs and the many others who are by no means explicit parts of that family you talk about. They are certainly members of a community, but it has nothing to do with them whether the party is a financial success or not. And quite frankly Fraser, it does NOT just happen all the time in Raveland. So to return to the point I was initially trying to make. It is not about the money, it is about the way you deal with it and expect loyalty without the needed respect in return. And talking money issues here - it seems that I have to clarify one more issue: I must have expressed myself too ambiguously in my first mail but I never insinuated that you stole any money from the community. In fact I'd like to think that you were always sincere about it. What I said in the former message was that I 'neither believed that Adam was just evilly scheming not did I believe that you could steal money'. But I assume that because you are so convinced about Adam and his evil deeds you just jumped to conclusions. Break free, shake all that frustration off you, all that aggression and fear and overcome this shadow that is casting over your way. Come down from that high throne you constructed for yourself and that you use as an escape from accepting criticism. Arrogance is not the way forward - and I address myself with this advise just as well. With every wish to retaliate, to hurt and hit back we loose more track of what we are meant to do - create a new community, based on love. Zippy or Hippy, that is still what it is about. For me the water has calmed down by now and I am ready to give you that hug. Neither I nor anyone wants any further waves. We just want to get on with the job and that love business. Not because of fear, but because of understanding. Love and respect, Fraser. With wide open arms – Dom Spiral PS: allow me one more arrogant advise – remember how you always said’ guys, we are having fun, if we don’t have fun doing it any more then it is not worth it. Fraser – and I mean this right now – I hope deep inside somewhere you are still having fun right now. Because we are all just learning. Yes there is pain, there are hurt emotions, but hey – we are here for a reason – HAVE FUN OR GET OFF IT!!!

it is time, it is sweet thyme. we need to nourish ourselves with healing herbs in ceremony and play. we need the knowledge that each one of us depends on the fabric, the weaving of warp and weft, the connectedness, the process of creating that binding fabric. having physical places to gather is very much part of that process. the drome feels like a place that lends itself to the business of exchanging and creating energy. there's something of the feeling of support and familiarity that i need for myself. we have all marvelled at the transformation that has been achieved so many times from car park to a magical laboratory of evolving consciousness. i want to move on from the heavy and inflexible guilt trips. i need a place, actually many places, where i can reaffirm myself and be refreshed in space and time. the church has failed to offer me the kind of life- affirming sanctuary i seek so i am searching like a perpetual pilgrim for fellow beings who also hold an ancesteral memory of sacredness. i went to the spring on the heath recently and tasted the iron laden water. i long to be with people who feel the sacred connections between our bodies, our blood and the physical planet. so this is how i'm planning to go on, i plan to be at the drome for the next warp play. i plan to ensure that the workers and the players are fed before we open to the public. HARE KRISHNA. also i plan to set up a confessional booth where wandering souls can drop in and let their words reflect the feelings that sometimes get neglected in the party scene, i'll also try to have some heath spring water for those who would commune with the blood of the earth. i'm calling myself a low priestess. if anyone would like to join me that would be fantastic. i hope all this doesn't sound pompous or sanctimonious to anyone.....no i'm sure it doesn't but if you feel like helping this kind of thing to grow...communicate, get in touch with ideas and offers. you can post me on this site or to my personal e-mail it's time, it's thyme to be sage

dear fraser, if you don't go to the warp you'll be missed by many people who have been touched by you. i wonder if you know how much people care about you. you asked dom to apologise but he couldn't in the way you wanted it would have been too stiff...but look how much he feels for you, feel those words. you are honoured and respected as a dancer and a gambler and a cosmic wheeler-dealer. (maybe you should consider leaving the hard cash business trips to mere mortals, though) can i ask you, what is the karmic purpose of all this flin-flan or flim-flam or whatever it is, i mean there must be something going on here that we are able to use if we have the wit. how weird we are in the way we compete with the warp in our hippy-opera lives? are we dreaming ourselves into upstaging neil and ken and claudia and daisy and the whole warping fraternity. yeh man that's it, look at us, someone should be transferring us not to a club but to a virtual theatre in the west end. with the latest technology the amazing events we call normal everyday living could earn us all a fortune, we just need to go public.

It would appear that despite all the love, fluffiness, hardness, hate, declarations, ultimatums, threats, promises, rudeness, pleadings, beggings, demands and so forth that "we" have now reached the point that nobody wanted to reach. Tis a time for change fellow Warpers. And change is one of the most painful transitions we humans ever go through. But change is the reason we got this far.... Don't you think? It's time to start a new chapter of the book and let go of the last one. Nobody will forget it, but it is destroying the beautiful memories of times blissfully spent. I don't want that, and I don't think anybody else does either. Fuck the money, it's spent too quickly. Fuck the politics, lets leave that to the politicians. Are we going to love this thing so much that we suffocate it? Are we going to let 'turf wars' rule the day? Let it go, move on .... as you all should know, life is just too god-damn short for this kind of conflict. Onward and upward people.

The next warpers' picnic will take place next sunday at 3:00pm Kinglsy hall - directions are at the bottom ..Please...please..please..bring food and drink to share..just something nuthing fancy The goal for this picnic is to come together, explore the possibility of the synergy that is available, 1+1=11 etc, bonding as a community and focus on how we can make the next event and subsequent events whereever and whenever, everything that they can be -- excellence being the standard that we reach for. The last warpers' picnic was attended by about twenty people from various facets of "the warp experience phenomena" Adam was there Fraser was conspicuous by his absence. We recorded the meeting as a gesture to Fraser to faciitate him being able to get a reality check on what is really going on as oppose to what he imagines. Whether he takes advantage of this opportunity remains to be seen. The meeting was positive upbeat and "way forward orientated", very little time was spent with the past and all its issues, we shared our vision and ideas and how these can be practically implemented. The warpexperience.org website is your/our community site online, please use it to accelerate the synergy of the warp experience community, share yourself, your life's work dreams aspirations etc with fellow warpers and the world at large - what ever you want to put on this website - the answer is YES http://www.infinitepossibility.org Recent quote "the other 9/10's of your brain is not there just for decoration" thanks Maya :) Quote from the WARP play: "prepare all frequencies, usurp the ricky dicky leaders.  S L O W D A N C E Have you ever watched kids On a merry-go-round Or listened to the rain lapping on the ground? Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight Or gazed at the sun into the fading night? You better slow down Don't dance so fast Time is short The music won't last. Do you run through each day on the fly? When you ask "How are you?" Do you hear the reply? When the day is done, Do you lie in your bed With the next hundred chores Running through your head? You'd better slow down Don't dance so fast Time is short The music won't last. Ever told your child, We'll do it tomorrow And in your haste, not seen his sorrow? Ever lost touch, Let a good friendship die you never had time To call and say "Hi"? You'd better slow down Don't dance so fast Time is short The music won't last. When you run so fast to get somewhere You miss half the fun of getting there. When you worry and hurry through your day, It is like an unopened gift.... Thrown away... Life is not a race. Do take it slower Hear the music Before the song is over.

Oh Fraser What is happening ? So many people had an amazingly fantastic time at The Warp at the Drome, myself included, which is why I got involved with helping the green angels set up and later with the welcome flyer, ok so there were problems, some minor, others major, I know insufficient about the major ones to comment so I wont ! The location changed and the spirit changed – personally I had a great time at Open but there were different probs – notably security and a lost vibe, the west end isn’t the place for this is it ? At the end of Rave 2 – or what should have been the middle was a disaster with the dance floors closed thru lack of people, where were you and mandy ??? Did you really get sent home ?? Poor Greg and Dom looked so flustered, and who can blame them, being left carrying the can is not a nice job anytime but when you have so many people wanting to get paid – is it really so wrong to want to be paid, or a portion of what you were promised, or at least haveyour expenses met ? This is the bit wher I could start slinging mud so I will stop!! I do not like this sour taste in my mouth and hope it is quickly washed away , I still do not like believing the worst of you and would be more than happy for you to dispel the rumours and regain my confidence in you. Lots of people love you – at was stated (repeatedly) at the meeting on Sunday – this meeting was taped, you should be getting copies of this soon. Lets get this sorted out and soon, I don’t like the bad feelings any more than anyone else. I want to be able to respect you again. Love Claire

Christine, you know we already have a centre. It probably won't be 24 hours because it is in a residential area, even though it's detached. Still, there are a lot of things which we can do with the space. The building will soon be open, as you well know.

Would ParaYOU please explain the purpose of publicising the expense account, which you call "The Warp Experience-Ravelation 1 Budget Breakdown"? If Parallel-Youniversity is going to publish account statements, I think it would be good judgement to include the revenue statement, as expenses are offset against income.

From: 12dogs@webtribe.net Subject: My thoughts To: fraser@parallel-youniversity.com Date: Tue, 14 Mar 2000 This is Nick (the guy who helps with the queue/setting up) just calling in to tell you how I feel about what is going on. I'm young, I know that, but since the first Warp Experience I ever wondered into, my life has been speeding up - I've learnt so much about myself, people, how to connect, how to feel and understand what is really there, behind all the layers of crap, how to heal and help other people who need it, .etc and I thank you for creating something that had the power and beauty to do that to me. It was your vision, I can see that, and won't forget, and I still have faith in your vision now, although many people seem not to; I feel that we need to create a family with as many members as possible, to expand out, through the West End and wherever else, until the Experience becomes one of the most powerful things on the earth. As more people experience what you have created, the movement (and movement is the only way to change the world) grows stronger and stronger and bigger and bigger. As you can see from the feedback, RavElation affected many people who would probably have otherwise gone to a typical, run of the mill booze & pills club in Leicester Square. You can carry on doing that, and I would still like to help, but I feel trapped in the middle of an argument that nobody has really let me understand. I felt you would want to hear this, and I know that you see the importance of us 'youngens' in the scene. Without you, I would never have been able to heal myself, without what you stood for I would still be a repressed, unhappy individual who had no understanding of who he was or who others were, without Brian I would be lost and bewildered by all that is happening to me. It really is like a family for me - whenever I return to one of your events after two weeks or whatever, it feels like a homecoming. What I would love is for everything to re-unite, re-build and be as strong as it once was at the Drome. We don't need the Drome, but Open seemed so highly-strung and not the right place for the Experience or the fluffy, liberated hippy/zippy/cyber community, or maybe it's not the right place for me, I'm not sure. Whatever happens, I'll carry on spreading the word, and carry on encouraging people to come. Thank you for helping to change my life, my outlook and my mind, Nick Keeble (Q-Love) From: fraser@parallel-youniversity.com thanks nik. and thanks for thanking me. more people should remember to do it to me more often say i! i'm sorry that you've been confused by what must sound like squabbling to you. actually it's not that. the owner of the drome screwed us in so many ways, from angles we never realissed we had, that we eventually had to pull out of there, that's all. some people loved it so much there that they're willing to overlook the fact that a thief and a total capitalist who cares not one whit for our scene would be the beneficiary if our scene was to start gathering there again, and would be the first to throw us out as soon as he gets his club built up to the right level. should we just ignore "the politics"? or when everybody sees me being publicly ripped off and goes on supporting the robber, what does that mean? i'm personally quite clear, but i suppose it's a bit of an issue for some. it's also becoming increasingly obvious to me that it has to be part of what i have to try to 'get over' to this younger generation. there's a kinda moral relativity going around where we assume there's always 2 sides. but when someone bangs you over the head and mugs you there aren't 2 sides. to you personally i say this: we can't always demand instant gratification. are we really going to say "i loved it, i want more of it" and we'll walk over our grannies or work with the mafia to get it? is that what we're saying? if i go on i'll start to sound like i'm trying to convince you of something. i'm not. it just seems so clear to me, so crystal clear. you know, sometimes i see our scene as like a huge herd of 'peace-loving' antelope who are followed along by these capitalist lions who, every lunchtime, or when we get fat enough, just dive in and kill a few of us for supper AND ALL WE DO IS SKIP OFF AND CONTINUE AS IF NOTHING IS HAPPENING - when, if we really really held together like a true community, through the good and the bad, we would outnumber the fuckin lions by a thousand to one! luv, fraser. From: 12dogs@webtribe.net Subject: My thoughts To: fraser@parallel-youniversity.com Date: Wed, 15 Mar 2000 I have no regrets about thanking you. You deserve it. A lot of other people I know would like to do the same. You see, what you have done has really affected those in the younger generation who are fed up with the discrimination, violence, and attitude that seems to be at the heart of youth culture nowadays. You have attracted people with quirky, odd talents, who can REALLY think for themselves, to your scene. You have given us the chance to show what we can do, to amuse, amaze, tease, play and whatever else. We will stand by you. Whatever happened at the Drome should be passed over, forgotten, we have to move forward and continue the good work. I agree with you entirely on the issue of Moral relativity. When the police beat me over the head at the N30 demonstrations for sitting on the road protesting peacefully, I knew there was only one side to the argument, but people doubted me, even my own mother and father, they asked whether I had done something to provoke them, whether I had been 'asking for it'. I finally gave up, let it go, realised I couldn't win. It still hurts me know to think that I could have tried to sue, perhaps could have made a difference, but didn't. I'm not asking for instant gratification, I could not use or abuse anyone to get it, and I'm willing to wait as long as I have to for things to sort themselves out. I've made so many bonds recently, so many relationships which have strengthened me and the people I share them with. I'm working for what I see as progress. Your vision is progress, and I will continue helping other people, young and old, to see it. Love and respect, Nick

here's a possible thread: it's my strong feeling that we're going to become more and more aware of the millennium as each day/week/month/year passes. that closed door that's now behind us has thrown the entire psychological weight of 'History' FORWARDS so that, instead of looking backwards at the long millennium that still controlled us, we shall be looking forwards to the millennium of evolution ahead of us. fraser. fraser - Sunday, January 09, 2000 at 00:51:38 (GMT)

Fraser, I gave you a job to do and you have allowed your ego to get in the way and distort the work.---- Young people like Nick and others, look to you for guidence as an adult role model...What are you teaching them ?... Do you really think that I wanted you to teach them how to be warmongers?...The powers that I gave you access to, were given for a specific purpose. If you continue to forget where the source of your power and inspiration come from, access will be denied and you will fall to earth like a bird with a broken wing only to be eaten by maggots like every other mortal soul.

I think it is so sad that we have come to this point; all the conflicts in my life have led to such unhappiness for me and everyone involved. Something happened to create this situation, but isn't it time to move on, to continue working TOGETHER for greater things? It doesn't seem like we're getting anywhere, the same things keep being said in different way. I thanked Fraser because I felt he deserved it; that he was a strong, essential input into the creation of the Warp Experience, the one thing on this planet that has irreversibly changed my life for the better. I believe that without Fraser there would have been no Warp, that it was the realisation of a vision. He allowed all the wonderful, beautiful amazing people to play their part in the whole process and make it as inspiring, different, original and INFLUENTIAl as it has been for me. He does not own the Revolution, I never said that, but I believe that without his input it would not have progressed anywhere like as far as it has today, and there would never have been the oppurtunity for me and others to become part of it and assist its progression. The Warp was an enormous, consuming thing; it touched the lives of SO many people I have talked to. Shouldn't we forget our differences, and make sure it continues to do so. We are all human, we all, especially myself, have considerable problems, but I don't see what is happenning as a good way to combat them. I still believe with all my heart and soul in this community and movement, in everything it has done and I hope will do. I couldn't turn away now, not after experiencing what I have experienced. Can't we forget, keep the memories, move forward and continue to change ourselves and things around us. We can do anything, can we not? I hope that we will come out of this, and come out happier, wiser and closer than before. I speak for many when I say how strongly it feels that something is missing from my life right now. Thank you to everyone, I love you all, Nick

Meyer This is where i'm hanging out at the moment, and I thought I'd leave a message here, rather than pin it to a tree on the Heath. I was walking around for three months not believing that you had gone, thinking that you had done a deal with your friends at the embassy, and I had an incessant need to speak to the people myself. I know you would have heard through your son, about what subsequentially transpired in LA, and have no doubt that you would have returned from Aquarius. And had that have happened, i'd have been able to make amends, because i would have asked you whether it was really worth holding onto resentments; and being big and strong enough to know when to forgive and let go of anger, (even though it may have taken time whilst the apes were throwing banana skins at the tigers growling at the snakes hissing at the ...), we would have made it again. Now, i don't wonder too much about if there is anything after death, but in the past I did used to think about our dog jumping into the front seat, and you'd always be wearing a sarong - just the way i liked you driving around up in the heavens. So why now? I don't be thinking that bullshit baffles brains, but perhaps a coupla blessings? You would see for yourself what is going on if you are able, (and i like this one no more than i did losing our child.) This place, i hate it, but i had to get out from the other place because of the memories ... I be needing the magic touch again - just like when i'd put in at central reservation for the parking spot - that type of magic ... that's not too much to be asking? ... and i be needing you to work with me on what follows ...if our dream isn't possible, then why I be here on this planet, alone ... for what ... i might just as well be committing suicide by instalments on drugs ... but it would put a smile on my face if i could be using my god-given intelligence to be making a difference ... you know the set up, a few things have changed, but the concept remains the same. And, Meyer ... TheStrangestSecret ... that too would come in very useful. Namaste BlackWidowSpider

To: viziondanz@aol.com, At this very moment, I am falling uncontrollably into a deep depression, one of the worst and darkest I have experienced for a long time. Absolutely nothing is going right. Firstly, I owe lots of drugs money. My problem, a stupid act results in a lot of pain and trouble. Secondly, Fraser, without consulting me, pins two messages of encouragement and thanks I wrote to him thinking he needed something apart from condemnation and criticism on the message board, plunging me directly into the middle of an argument I did not want to become directly involved with. I see Fraser as the man behind the original Warp Experience, the man with the vision, the man that opened up the doors for me and so many other people. His vision, as I see it, is what the Warp Experience was and what Ravelation could have been had it been somewhere else or whatever. If his vision is no longer that, then I no longer have any faith in it, but I cannot believe that someone who did so much good for me and others can have done so much wrong. He is not teaching me to be a warmonger, I have no desire for any type of conflict in my life, it only destroys things, but he is teaching me that everyones' input can hasten the development or movement of this energy, this direction of change that I feel so strongly exists. I do not want to force anything upon anyone. But at the same time, I feel so upset that he could use my kind words to him as an ego boost, as a way of saying 'Look! I am right after all. Damn the rest of you, read what little Nick has written.' I mentioned in those emails that it was time to move on. I hope he has the strength to do so. Thirdly, I keep feeling that God is punishing me for things, or that things are so predetermined that I cannot change them whether I like it or not. Example: I met a wonderful person last Saturday, somebody I talked to for ages, somebody who felt the same way as I did, somebody I could be with aand not worry about anything in the world. Now, every time I try to talk to him, either his mobile phone's not working, it's busy, it cracks up, and the same happens when he phones me from his mobile. Yeah, could be a crap mobile phone, but I just get the feeling that God has his hand in this, that for some reason he doesn't want me to get to know this person better. So much has been going right for me and the moment, so much has changed. And now all that I worked for, my peace of mind, my freedom, my love for everything, is going down the drain. I am lost,

"I am far from surprised to hear about your problems with the Drome. For a while I was working voluntarily for the Drome and then given some paid work. The amount of times I have seen them screw people over was incredible, and I am sad to say that I stopped going to your wonderful Parallel YOUniversity because it was held at the Drome. I also know this was the case with many of my friends. It was a brilliant space, but unfortunately it was tainted for me and many others by the owners' attitudes and aims. They were purely driven by money and followed none of the philosophies of the people who attended the Warp Experience. I hope you find a much more suitable and appreciative venue. Finally may I say that overall the Parallel YOU is fucking brilliant, and I hope it carries on without wankers like the management of the Drome fucking you about!! Good luck with everything!" Sarah Taylor. "It's a larf innit? These Drome guys must be always looking for a dodge - a tiring way to live your life, not to mention the dubious pleasures of the old hokey-cokey and bevvying it up on top. Spun out? Sputnik landed in my garden mate." Mervyn. North London. "well done for getting clean out of there and for your grit and determination in dealing with all the shit, and for keeping on keeping on when at times the battle clearly wore you down. i know that i have grown stronger and wiser through my connection with You. bless you, dear genius, for some of the most awesomely memorable communal cosmic experiences of the last millennium, and rejoice in the knowing we can go on sharing and creating unlimited possibilities and cups of tea!" diana west. hawaii. "Dear Fraser, There is only one ParaYOU - your's! How fucking dare they try to imitate such genius. Anyway, well done protecting your turf. On with the show, dear boy! The powers that be on other planes will protect you. Just don't look down. or back. Confidence, and no fear. It is not in your destiny to be stopped this time by this kind of thing. Success is its own protection, and revenge against those who have tried to fuck you up in the past. Do NOT be drawn into slanging matches.......power to you, sweet man." Guy Daemian-Knight. Canada. "It's hard enough getting an event together without this sort of shit going down - we commiserate with you on this." Spike @ Sparkle. "bad, bad news about the Drome - sorry to hear that you have had to go through all that. I had an inkling that the Warp & Parallel YOU's names were being ripped off for that night on the 18th dec, in a very transparent way to be honest. One Love," Bill "I was sorry to hear about your dealings with the Drome, there are a few things that occurred to me when I read about this, the first being that you came up with the idea and it came from your heart and that, by the sounds of it, the real Warp Experience is synonymous with something more than just your average club night and I'm sure that people don't go to it thinking that it will be just their average club experience, it draws an audience that is probably quite unique. The more activated consciences that are drawn into this thing, the more easily the imposters will be spotted - they won't be able to replicate the same vibe and in this sense maybe it's not so important what your creation's called, because after a while, people will know it with certainty, though what makes "it" the warp experience is intangible. It also occurred to me that having someone copy you is a little flattering if annoying at the same time, and the Drome people are probably wishing they had the idea first, or were that switched on or creative. If you're the kind of person that has loads of good ideas, don't worry, because they won't be able to keep up." Jessica. Birmingham. "Sorry to hear of the trouble. Bastards. will pass word around." nick @ addictive tv. "Off to court over another name, Fraser? To my knowledge it started clubwise with the DREAM lot many moons ago with Megatrip @ Heaven. Now it's true that every promoter (esp. those that can make a huge event appear almost overnight) becomes the target of jealousy-fuelled scams but this is getting silly!!! Just keep the faith and don't become a casualty of thinking there's a complex conspiracy at work... there probably ain't... Clubland = mainstream business. The sharks aren't always in suits, and the promoters have to be trainee lawyers. If the phuture of your project gets throttled by litigation, I'm sure you'll come out smi²ling.” David Griffin, Huddersfield. "Fraser, do not stoop to the level of these swine, let them do a fake Warp Experience if they want to. All they can ever take from you is the name and some money. In this modern society the money is nice, but they won't make too much. As for the name, well, there's a hell of a lot more to the Warp Exp than that, and it's this "Factor X" that makes us strong. That's what these capitalist pigs really want to get their grubby little hands on. But, hard as they try, they never will, because they're searching for it on the outside and, as we all know, it comes from within. Lets face it: if you were to hold a party outside in the rain and call it "The Cold Wet Experience" we would still all turn up!! And probably have a great time too!!! Be calm." Matt Terry. Brunel University, UK. "Dear Fraser, my sympathy for the difficulties you are experiencing re Drome stuff. I guess those souls have so far missed the wonderful fortune of having remembered just who they really are yet, and that WE ARE ALL ONE, or that what you do to another you do to yourself. So however frustrating it gets, remember that those we may perceive as doing us 'wrong' come to give us the opportunity to decide who we are in relation to them, and in fact, present us with the best possible opportunities to respond with Love, Compassion, and Grace, and therefore be a bringer of the light - which it is so obvious you are!” Sarahpeutic Troll. "oh Jay-sus! The world is against those who are non-profit-making & full of good intentions. They're abused and loved, needed and crushed." katrin richter. germany. "I won't let anybody fuck you over this time. I have magical powers now. There are other protectors around you too. Trust your feelings with people. If you feel really good - use people you feel good as a bench mark for those feelings, and trust that. If you have doubts, fuck them off and don't get involved. Relax as there is no need for you to be defensive. Remember always that the only reason people try to do this is because they are jealous. This dark emotion governs the lives of many people. Once you know that they are fucked up, you can sail on. You are a truly beautiful being Fraser, and I know it, and God knows it and all the right people know it. You won't have to fight all the time. there are going to be easy times and financially successful times and this will be hard for you to accept because of so much disappointment, and there will be a temptation to fall into old fears and patterns, but notice it, and allow success to change your pattern, but I don' need to remind you to be ever cautious. Everyone is greedy unless they prove otherwise. Am I cynical, no I am in heaven; in Kathmandu at the Roof of the World and I wish you were here too. Confidence always!" Keeaojaah Guy. Nepal. "Then, on the stagger home after the millennium party, about 5.30, I heard a thump-thump coming from under some arches and stumbled upon the Drome (I'd never been). Realising what it was (but not yet aware of their foul deeds), we asked to get in. They wanted 20 quid, so we buggered off - only to pass the grating that allows you to see inside, and we met a lovely woman who gave us something to drink and told us sadly of the denuded content inside ("no intelligence or heart left"), so we were glad to have saved our time and money. Good luck with a new venue - how on earth you can keep getting up off the floor and giving it another go I don't know (but then, I'm not privy to the undoubtedly pleasing feedback from the early days you must get). Here's raising a glass tae ye!" Jules Marshall. Amsterdam.

I went to the drome on Saturday, better than anything at OPEN ever was, I think that the "competition" should stop. These events are so much of the same spirit that we should embrace them all.  I went to the Drome on Sat, it was amazing, wonderful. The drome is not anything more than a blank sheet of paper, its a venue at which different promoters promote their events. The quality of the event is the reponsibility of the promoter, hence some nights are great, some not so great. The staff at The Drome are doing a great job in keeping this great venue alive - against all odds. The security has to maintain a certain standard so that the council and police allow the venue to continue- Enjoy.

let us stop for a moment and take one deep breath and join hands to welcome in the new millennium Millennium again Another excuse for a party comes on Saturday - it's new year's day, writes Duncan Steel,The Guardian newspaper,Thursday March 23, 2000 When does (or did) the new millennium start? On January 2000, or 2001? The answer is neither. The full 2000 years are up this Saturday, March 25. Nowadays it's difficult to imagine the year beginning with any date but January 1. In the modern world, though, that's quite a new convention. France started it in 1564. Various other European nations soon followed, previously using events such as Christmas or Easter. Another much used was September 1, the start of a tax cycle introduced by Constantine the Great in AD 312. That was employed in the Holy Roman Empire until Napoleon abolished it in 1806. Britain used March 25 until 1752. That's why the income tax year begins with April 6. When Britain reformed its calendar, coming in line with the Continent, eleven days were deleted. The non-appearing dates were September 3 to 13 in 1752, making that year just 355 days long, and 1751 was even shorter, at 282 days, running only from March 25 to December 31. To keep the tax years of equal length, the date of reckoning was postponed by 11 days, to April 6. Over the decades that's caused much argument. Count off the days from March 25 and you get 12, not 11. Why? Although March 25 was the start of the legal year, it was the final day of the financial quarter. But why March 25? It all goes back to the origin of our year numbers. The monk Dionysius Exiguus was charged by the pope in AD 525 to calculate a new set of Easter tables for the subsequent century. In doing so he developed a framework for past year numbers, that being the system we have inherited. Actually he got it wrong, and it seems likely that Jesus was born in 5 BC. The error originated in a misinterpretation of Augustus's reign: the monk took that to count from 27 BC, when the emperor took that moniker, rather than 31 BC when, under the name Octavian, he defeated Mark Antony and Cleopatra to seize power. Dionysius needed to derive not the year starts, but the dates of Easter. That church festival is celebrated as the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox (although the "moon" there is the ecclesiastical moon, not the astronomical moon, and the equinox comes from the ecclesiastical sun, rather than the sun in the sky). So the equinox was vital in his calculations. Traditionally the Incarnation, or Annunciation, when the Archangel Gabriel appeared to Mary, occurred at the spring equinox, taken to be March 25. It was that date, in the year we call 1 BC, which Dionysius adopted as the basis for his year count, because Easter was his concern. The annual numbering he termed (in Latin) as the Year of the Incarnation. And that means that the two full millennia will have elapsed come March 25 in the year 2000. This Saturday, in fact. So why do we use January 1? In part because the Romans earlier employed that date, but its eventual ascendancy in the Christian calendar stems from a remarkable pair of coincidences. The human gestation period of nine months leads to a skip forward from the Annunciation on March 25 to December 25 (the traditional winter solstice). The latter was a pagan festival that had already been purloined as Christmas by the era of Dionysius. The second coincidence is this. If Jesus was born on December 25, then as a Jew he would be circumcised on the eighth day, which is January 1. Hence our New Year, and the fact that it is celebrated as the Feast of the Circumcision in the liturgical calendar. And here's the final item of confusion. Britain used March 25 as New Year until 1752, but that year count was wrong. In effect it counted from that date in AD 1, rather than the correct 1 BC. If we had not changed the calendar in the 18th century then we'd just be coming to the end of 1999. When does the new millennium dawn? On Saturday March 25, if one really wants to count from the year dot. That's when the full 2000 years are up. • Duncan Steel teaches physics at the university of Salford. His book on calendar matters, Marking Time, is published by Wiley, New York.

Keep it together people because there's nothing like this anywhere else in the country. Its the best party I've ever been to, and I've met some of the most friendly and fascinating people. I agree that the drome is a little more suited to hold this kind of event because the proximity of everything creates a togetherness that is more difficult to achieve at open. Don't ruin it now. Loadsa love.

lets stop these words of anger and rage. Confusion is the biggest divider of all. I am confused ! Divided between the forces playing around me. Money, politics and religion r the biggest dividers of all. lets put them to one side - or throw them away altogether - in an ideal world, thats where i want to live. if we cant lets make the most of what we have learnt and pull together, we had a great time and we can re gather and begin the dance again - without the negativity that caused the collapse. I hope it can happen and soon - maybe next weekend ? I have been having nightmares i want to become sweet dreams - can u all help ?

PARALLEL YOUNIVERSITY www.parallel-youniversity.com THE WAY OUT 21 SELF-DEFENCE GUIDELINES FOR DISCRIMINATING BETWEEN CORRECT & MISGUIDED SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY IN THE THIRD MILLENNIUM by the Alexandria Foundation, introduced and edited by Fraser Clark In our search for truth, we’re often handicapped by having failed to discover the truth about searching itself. Thus, in our emotional need for stability and belonging, we may prematurely cease to search without noticing that our finding is only a small, narrow part of the whole. Truth is the whole truth, if it’s to with-stand the reality of life's tests and the deep inquiry at the heart of search itself. Let’s look at the nature of “the search for truth,” and how it relates to our individual intelligence, and to the groupings, institutions, posses and cults which form around the various views as to what the truth is. Such views are our belief systems, which determine our way of life. Our emotional investment in a belief system tends to determine our commitment. Whether you’re already committed to the search, or are considering launching upon a path, or are interested in exploring what ‘search’ might mean, I strongly advise that you keep these 21 Self Defence Guidelines in a safe place. A day will surely come when the implications for yourself might be surfaced. fraser. March, 2000. The group social pressures of those who believe the answers may communicate the feeling that further questioning of those answers is disloyal, anti-community, egotistical or even subversive. We may start to fear that further questioning will destroy the stability and equilibrium of what we’ve so far achieved. Beyond these considerations, however, lies the issue of the MEANS for apprehending truth. This means is INTELLIGENCE, not in the limited academic sense, but in the full sense of direct appreciation of the truth of any situation. After all, we have only discovered truth to the extent that our full potential of intelligence has been brought to bear on our search. Without a great deal of fundamental questioning, then, our intelligence cannot be activated very much. The intelligence of having answers is a lesser intelligence; the greater intelligence is that of generating questions. Courage is required since the world of answers is inevitably disturbed by the world of questions. %%% 2. %%% ANY COMMITMENT, BELIEF SYSTEM OR WAY OF LIFE WHICH CAN SURVIVE THE PURIFYING FIRE OF TRULY SERIOUS CRITICAL INQUIRY MAY HAVE SOME ENDURING VALUE FOR YOU, AND FOR OTHERS. %%%%%%%% It is not the aim of deeper inquiry to destroy the answers we think we already have; it is to test whether they’re authentic, reliable and comprehensive. In the everyday world of commerce, for example, the customers' demand for reliability leads manufacturers to test the products and to institute quality control. The same principle applies in the world of our personal integrity. To find the gold in the earth we have to reject the fool's gold, burn off the obscuring crystals of ore, and observe what survives this burning heat of our applied intelligence. What’s our personal integrity worth if it’s never been tested by our own initiative and intelligence? The fire is within us. Cross-examination by others may awaken our sleeping intelligence, but, taken alone, it will still leave us with an imported second-hand viewpoint, rather than one that’s been forged in the crucible of our own consciousness. %%% 3. %%% THE INHERENT RIGHT TO FULL TRUTH IN EVERY HUMAN SOUL IS UNFORTUNATELY RARELY EXERCISED. %%%%%%%% One crucial source of courage in the search for personal integrity is the hypothesis that such integrity is our birthright. So often we are satisfied with so much less than the truth, mistakenly ‘believing’ instead that what we have is already that truth, or ‘holding the opinion’ that it can’t be for us, it can only be for a privileged few. Such erroneous beliefs explains why this right is rarely exercised. The will to discover full truth depends on the activation of dormant intelligence. %%% 4, %%% TRUTH IS NOT ITSELF A ‘BELIEF’, FOR IT INCLUDES BOTH THE TRUTH OF BELIEF AND ALSO THE TRUTH OF DISBELIEF AND SCEPTICISM. %%%%%%%% The word ‘belief’ implies something 'supposed' to be true, but which may not be. Belief that the sun goes round a flat earth may be “established community opinion’, but it unquestionably does not determine the actual state of affairs. And even the later ‘truth’ that the earth is round and circles the sun may turn out to be partial, may be overturned by a wider perspective that shows its limitations. In the spiritual world, committing oneself to a particular belief imposes a view that truth is a step of absolute revelation, and that to believe in this revelation is to attain truth. In reality, even if Truth Itself be Absolute, access to the truth is emergent and relative because the heart and mind are limited in their insight and breadth of comprehension. Neither belief nor doubt are the means to truth. Perception of the truth lies deeper in faith based on intelligent intuition. %%% 5. %%% FAITH GENERATED BY AWAKENING TRUTH OR REAL INTELLIGENCE IS A GOD-GIVEN POWER TO PROGRESS. FAITH BASED ON BELIEF, SOCIAL TOGETHERNESS, OR UNCRITICAL ACCEPTANCE OF AUTHORITY IS INVARIABLY A FORM OF STAGNATION OR EVEN RETROGRESSION DISGUISED AS PROGRESS. %%%%%%%% Any spiritually orientated grouping wants to believe and to demonstrate for its followers that it is getting somewhere. However, for this to be truly the case, the beliefs upon which the group is founded would also have to be evolving, since ‘opinions’ can only ever be partial, incomplete reflections of truth. The case is the same with dependence on social togetherness. Grouping together with mutual support is not an adequate criterion for truth, for it is less than the power of active intelligence. Deeper than the claims and tokens of progress, we need to see if intelligently intuitive faith is actually working within. %%% 6. %%% THAT THERE IS FALSE SPIRITUALITY DOES NOT IMPLY THAT SPIRITUALITY IS FAKE. WHEN A WORLD OF ATHEISTIC MATERIALISM AND PSEUDO-ENLIGHTENMENT ROUNDLY AND GENERALLY CRITICISES SPIRITUAL GROUPING OR INDIVIDUAL ASPIRATION IT OBSCURES THE REAL ISSUE: THE REAL ISSUE IS THE RELATIVE COMPETENCE OF SUCH GROUPINGS AND ENDEAVOURS. %%%%%%%% The kind of enquiry we’re discussing is totally different to ‘questioning’ in society at large. Criticism is usually one belief system attacking another, with no appeal to a deeper process of truth enquiry. The critic is not himself or herself available for questioning. Since most external criticism of spiritual groups on our planet today comes from the dominant materialistic/hedonistic belief systems, it is usually un-informed or mis-informed and, as such, has to be fended off as unproductive or even dangerous. However, the defensive stance this creates can become so ingrained as to develop into a defence against everything that might imply change, including a change for the better. The developing integrity of both individuals and groupings requires openness to truly constructive criticism, and the practice of self questioning. Inadequate spiritual assumptions and practices, if allowed to lie unquestioned, cannot lead to adequate assumptions and practices. %%% 7. %%% LEVELS OF FALSEHOOD AS SEEN FROM ABOVE ARE LEVELS OF TRUTH AS SEEN FROM BELOW. %%%%%%%% Those who affirmed that the sun revolved around the earth are only seen to be false from a superior level of truth, and that falsity is not total. The old view remains a description of the actual experience of watching the sun from the earth today. As an observation, it retains value and truth. Similarly in the spiritual domain, great respect should be held for the relative position of belief systems. Where enquiry dislodges something as false, it should also retain and re-position the kernel of truth buried in the falsity. Without such care, prejudice will still prevail - though at a somewhat higher level of truth. %%% 8. %%% THERE’S NO NEED TO FEAR THAT YOUR PRESENT COMMITMENT, BELIEF SYSTEM OR WAY OF LIFE WILL BE SHATTERED BY AUTHENTIC SPIRITUAL ENQUIRY OR THE AWAKENING OF HIGHER INTELLIGENCE. IT WILL PAVE THE WAY FOR THE EMERGENCE, SOONER OR LATER, OF AN IMPROVED AND SUPERIOR COMMITMENT, BELIEF SYSTEM OR WAY OF LIFE. %%%%%%%% Where intelligence uncovers a further evolution, the frameworks and patterns built around it are loosened, cracked open or even shattered. Be very clear that this is qualitatively different from collapse or retrogression though it often feels that way to an emotionally clinging mind. Without first dying, the grain cannot germinate - the transition from one stage to another. For the seed only appears to die, and from it a new life emerges. Thus search and its fulfillment are inseparable from transitional crises of death and rebirth. Indeed the very absence of transitional crises could well indicate stagnation or failure to awaken further intelligence. %%% 9 %%% PEOPLE ARE OFTEN IMPRISONED BY INADEQUATE COMMITMENTS OR BELIEFS BECAUSE THOSE COMMITMENTS OR BELIEFS ARE CRUDELY AND WRONGLY CRITICISED BY PERSONS NOT QUALIFIED TO ENGAGE IN SUCH CRITICISMS. THIS INDUCES A SELF-DEFENSIVE STATE OF MIND WHICH, IN SOME GROUPS, OBSTRUCTS THE CHANCE OF ACCEPTING AUTHENTIC AND HELPFUL CRITICISM. JUST BECAUSE YOU’VE BEEN MADE TO FEEL DEFENSIVE DOESN’T NECESSARILY MEAN YOU CAN’T BE FOUND WRONG. %%%%%%%% Having to fend off constant crude pressure can dull the edge of discrimination. In that dullness, the occasional occurrence of authentic criticism can be missed, or deleted along with the crude stuff. But authentic, qualified criticism, targeted at our level of understanding rather than ourselves, is a crucial influence in accelerating the awakening of intelligence. Good criticism, well received, can be an enormous spurt to our inquiry, helping us evolve from one level of truth to another. %%% 10. %%% NOTHING SO FAR STATED IN ANY WAY ASSUMES THAT YOU ARE IN A FALSE SITUATION AND NEED A WAY OUT. BUT IT DOES IMPLY THAT YOU MAY HE ASSUMING YOU’RE NOT IN A FALSE SITUATION AND DON’T NEED A WAY OUT. %%%%%%%% Carefully monitor your reactions to the points made so far. Are your reactions defensive? Are they rejecting some of the points without reflection, or have you responded immediately as if none of them are even marginally relevant to you personally? Or perhaps some of the points leave you feeling a bit uncomfortable, unsettled? Such reactions may indicate an unwillingness to question your situation in any comprehensive way. On the other hand, if the points clarify any existing feelings of discomfort, frustration or inadequacy, all this may help spur you towards a new orientation, and so create your own way out. %%% 11. %%% 11. IF THE ‘LEADER’ OF YOUR GROUP FINDS THIS PAMPHLET INTERESTING AND USEFUL, IT COULD MEAN S/HE IS INDEED A COMPETENT SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY. IF S/HE FINDS IT DISTRESSING OR IRRELEVANT, YOU MAY BE THE PRISONER OF AN UNHEALTHY CULT. %%%%%%%% So far this pamphlet has been addressed to you. However, since we’re dealing with observations and issues which may apply to any person in a group, and even whole groups, it also contributes to an understanding of the forces at work in any group. You may wish to ask your leader's views on it as a contribution to the practical issues of the search for truth. Draw your own conclusion from his or her response. %%% 12. %%% COMPETENT AUTHORITIES OR TEACHERS, IN ANY FIELD OF LEARNING OR LIFE, ORDINARY OR EXTRAORDINARY, DO NOT INDISCRIMINATELY ACCEPT ADHERENTS OR STUDENTS WITHOUT REGARD TO THEIR QUALIFICATIONS TO PARTICIPATE. MANY PEOPLE BEING SENT AWAY OR REFUSED IS A MORE RELIABLE INDICATION OF A VALID ACTIVITY THAN THE PRESENCE OF A BLIND URGE TO EXPAND. %%%%%%%% It’s clear that, where expertise or experience are required for further learning, there has to be selection of candidates, since not everyone is qualified to begin to learn. This applies in colleges and universities, in technical and commercial jobs, in the arts and in sports. People without qualifications and motivations don’t normally enter engineering teams, medical practice, symphony orchestras, football teams or bank management. The situation is more confused in the spiritual field. Because the latent, unawakened germ of spiritual intelligence {“The Unrealised Buddha”) is present in everyone, it’s easy to make the mistake of assuming that everyone’s ready for awakening. The emergent aspiration, however, aspires way beyond the mind’s realisation potential, much as a child who aspires to be a doctor must travel a long way before s/he’s acceptable to a medical school (and may, in the end, reach an entry standard that allows them to fulfil that aspiration as a nurse rather than a doctor). It would clearly be irresponsible for medical schools to accept everyone who wants to pay their fees, only to finally be told they’re qualified when they’re not, or told it will be thirty years before they can actually examine a patient! Spiritual groups, all too often, have expansive tendencies which over-ride understanding, and their 'come one, come all' policy is rationalised as 'love'. Unfortunately it takes more discrimination to see false or inadequate spiritual guidance than it does to see faulty cars. %%% 13. %%% THOUGH ORDINARY SOCIETY MAY MISINTERPRET A GENUINE SPIRITUAL ACTIVITY AS A POSSIBLY UNHEALTHY CULT, DEEPER EXAMINATION BY INTELLIGENT AND GENUINELY WELL-INTENTIONED PEOPLE, WILL RECOGNISE IT AS A VALUABLE CONTRIBUTION TO HUMAN CULTURE. LIKEWISE, THOUGH ITS ADHERENTS WILL INEVITABLY SEE A FALSELY SPIRITUAL ACTIVITY AS A VERY REFINED AND IMPORTANT ACTIVITY OF PERSONAL AND COLLECTIVE PROGRESS, EXAMINATION BY INTELLIGENT AND GENUINELY WELL-INTENTIONED PEOPLE WILL SHOW IT TO BE AN ALL-TOO -'NORMAL' HUMAN ACTIVITY. %%%%%%%% In a world where appearances are deceptive and misleading, the less obvious visibility of developmental competence makes evaluating spiritual groups difficult. The development of modern civilization has not found it easy to establish performance standards for the human race even in such areas as technology, justice, medicine and social welfare. Standards remain deficient in many areas, like pollution and human rights. Even existing standards and their application are generally obscure to the layman. Similarly the authorities are divided and there is no consensus on what constitutes authentic human development, nor how to monitor it. Very strong forces in the mind of man throw judgements off-balance. Nevertheless, given the opportunity, people from any walk of life who are reasonably intelligent (able to appreciate the issues involved) and genuine in their intent (fairly culturally unprejudiced) will be able to see through the appearances and identify what is authentic and what is not. Also, obviously. only those established in a state of improved personal evolution will be competent to adjudicate between the diverse means of development on offer. %%% 14. %%% EVEN TRUE SITUATIONS ARE ULTIMATELY OUTGROWN IN FAVOUR OF YET TRUER ONES. ON HIGH LEVELS OF MATURITY AND INTELLIGENCE, SUCH TRANSITIONS ARE CHEERFULLY ENJOYED AND NOT EXPERIENCED AS TRAUMATIC SHOCKS TO EMOTIONAL STABILITY. EMOTIONAL CLINGING TO A SITUATION IMPLIES IMMATURITY, WHATEVER ITS RELATIVE TRUTH MAY BE. %%%%%%%% It’s essential to understand that not even the most Divinely inspired being on the planet is free from the recurring process of disillusionment and enlightenment. Yet mistakes on this point are made at all levels, even very high ones. Essentially, truth is revealed to consciousness as a dynamic. The crucial factor to understand this is the way it’s subjectively experienced. At the immature end of the scale, a person almost insanely grasps at mental security, and clings tightly to anything offering that stability. Change, even for the better, is perceived as a threat, and defensive behaviour is inevitable. It takes patience and time to help such a person through even a small preparatory step of development. On the other hand, for the mature person, identity is not vested in mental stability but in a deeper level of being. The recurring dissolution of one’s mental framework that enquiry brings is experienced as a joyous disorientation that will surely deliver a new level of insight in which all that’s valuable in the past will be re-positioned in the light of the new wider view of the whole. %%% 15. %%% DURING A TRANSITIONAL PHASE IN HUMAN DEVELOPMENT, ONE SIGN OF AN INTELLIGENT PERSON IS THAT S/HE WILL NOT BE IMPATIENTLY ANXIOUS FOR AN IMMEDIATELY IMPROVED COMMITMENT. NOR, ON THE OTHER HAND, WILL S/HE REGRESS INTO A LOWER ORDER OF VALUES. SUCH A PERSON, POSSESSING THE STRENGTH OF FREE AND ADAPTABLE INTELLIGENCE, CAN AWAIT THE OPPORTUNITY FOR PROGRESS TILL IT BECOMES AVAILABLE. SOMEONE WHO FEELS HELPLESS OR INADEQUATE WITHOUT GROUP REINFORCEMENT, WHETHER SPIRITUAL OR WITHIN ORDINARY SOCIETY, IS HARDLY CAPABLE OF REAL PROGRESS IN EITHER CASE. GROUP REINFORCEMENT IS NOT ITSELF SPIRITUALITY EVEN WHEN EXISTING RIGHTLY IN A TRUE SPIRITUAL GROUP. %%%%%%%% Contemporary researches in educational psychology have highlighted 'tolerance of ambiguity' as one of the creative person’s most significant qualities. This is the capacity to positively bear the disorientation of not having a solution in order to keep space for new insights to enter. Most people, unable to stand such open-endedness (and suspense of judgement), rush to grab the familiar and obvious 'solution'. This factor shows in artistic, scientific and spiritual fields too. Indeed discontinuity is a characteristic of any developmental step, a quantum jump between one order of understanding and a higher and more inclusive one. This is destabilising to someone centred in the emotional mind; s/he experiences it as a loss of personal coherence, and inadvertently denies the step before them by humping back to a reassuring stabilisation such as old beliefs and commitments, or else 'conversion' to different ones at a similar level. Substitution, however, is not development. Someone centred in the deeper mind of enquiry can surf the destabilisation with the trust and confidence that emotions will calm when the new level of insight has established itself. S/he also knows not to trust their emotions in this matter. This is the subjective aspect of maturity as regards going through personal transitions. But there is an objective aspect too, connected with world evolutionary transitions. %%% 16 %%% NO BELIEF SYSTEMS, TRUE OR FALSE, OCCUR IN AN ISOLATED VACUUM BUT IN AN OVERALL PATTERN OR DESIGN ON THE PLANET. A GROUP'S AWARENESS OF THEIR TRUE PLACE IN THIS PATTERN CAN BE SUCH A HUMBLING REVELATION THAT IT GETS REJECTED BY A GROUP AND ITS LEADERS. A GROUP TREATING 'OTHER' GROUPS AS IRRELEVANT MAY INDICATE ITS OWN VIRTUAL IRRELEVANCE. %%%%%%%% It’s characteristic of mature professionals in any field to take an interest in the frontiers of their own knowledge. Indeed deliberate forms of exchange are usually created - journals, conferences, associations - to promote awareness of the 'state of the art'. Being professional means keeping up with the state of the art, being open to other areas of expertise, being unafraid to question or be questioned, and to share knowledge. How extraordinary, then, that in the most serious search, that for 'truth' and 'spiritual transformation,' groups tend to treat each other as inferior or irrelevant, thereby alienating themselves from the whole pattern. In fact they make themselves inferior and irrelevant, as the whole reflects their own attitudes back to them. Human development on the planet shows patterns within patterns which reflect the relative evolutionary position of mankind and its diverse cultures to the pattern of its ultimate potential. Since this is an objective phenomenon which can be studied as such, a closed attitude cuts you off from that wider reality. %%% 17. %%% PEOPLE IN YOUR GROUP MAY BE GETTING 'RESULTS', BUT THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT LEVELS OF RESULTS, AND THEY MUST BE GONE THROUGH IN THE RIGHT SEQUENCE. A HIGHLY STIMULATING SITUATION CAN NEVER BE CORRECT SIMPLY BECAUSE IT’S STIMULATING, AND A CORRECT SITUATION WILL GO THROUGH PERIODS WHEN, IN FACT, IT’S NOT STIMULATING. %%%%%%%% One benefit of studying the wider picture is that it clarifies the idea of levels of results, so that a single set of results will never be mistaken for a realisation of full potential. The wider picture also prevents the mind from confusing stimulus or change in themselves as adequate criteria for progress. In nature there are times of incubation, of gestation, seasons of inactivity and dissolution; and in man’s development there are phases where progress is invisible, where change is merely building. Preoccupation with stimulus and 'results' at the wrong time can hinder this inward metamorphosis. %%% 18. %%% PEOPLE OFTEN SIMPLY DO NOT KNOW THAT THE 'EXPERIENCES' THEY TAKE AS AUTHENTIC IN THEIR SITUATION ARE BEING EXPERIENCED BY PEOPLE IN OTHER SITUATIONS, AND WOULD EVEN BE REGARDED AS FALSE AND MISLEADING IN YET OTHER SITUATIONS. ANY GROUP WHO THINK ONLY THEY ARE HAVING TRUE EXPERIENCES IS LIVING IN IMMATURE ISOLATION FROM THE OVERALL PATTERN OF GROUPS HAVING 'EXPERIENCES'. %%%%%%%% All this confusion is the result of a basic lack or actual misunderstanding of ideas about levels and stages, while differences of individual needs and pathways are not studied widely enough. The total potential experience for a single human being is being experienced everywhere, in scattered fragments, by the whole of humanity. %%% 19. %%% IF YOU’RE INVOLVED IN A WAY OF LIFE BECAUSE YOU SIMPLY DON’T KNOW WHAT THE ALTERNATIVES MIGHT BE, YOUR ATTITUDE TO YOURSELF IS PROBABLY SOMEWHAT IRRESPONSIBLE. IF EARNESTLY SOUGHT, ALTERNATIVES CAN USUALLY BE FOUND, EVEN SHOULD THEY ALL BE CONSCIOUSLY REJECTED. IMMATURE PEOPLE OFTEN SAY "MY TEACHER’S THE MOST INCREDIBLE I’VE EVER MET" WHEN THEY’VE NEVER MET ANY! %%%%%%%% The essential nature of this particular form of irresponsibility is that it denies our own potential, which is no less than the potential of humanity. How can we know the scope of what we might become if we ignore how it’s reflected in all the world's systems and teachings on the nature of man?! Even though vast reaches of this potential may be inaccessible to us right now, they feature somewhere in our future. Any found situation will inevitably be limited, for it can only fulfill and transcend its limitations by being understood as part of a wider whole. %%% 20. %%% THE FACT THAT YOUR TEACHER OR LEADER IS POPULAR MAY VERY WELL BE WHAT’S WRONG WITH HIM. AND IF HE’S UNPOPULAR AND CRITICISED BY JUST ABOUT ALL SPIRITUAL AND SECULAR AUTHORITIES THAT MAY VERY WELL BE JUST WHAT’S RIGHT WITH HIM. TRUE GENIUS AND COMPETENCE IN ANY FIELD IS RARELY GENERALLY ACCEPTABLE UNTIL IT HAS TAKEN ITS TIME TO EMERGE FROM THE GRIP OF ALL-AROUND INCOMPETENT AND IRRESPONSIBLE AUTHORITIES. %%%%%%%% This is essentially the problem of expectation. The seeker forms an opinion as to what a competent teacher might be like. This opinion is partly formed from a subconscious desire for approval and acceptance, which is more easily won through accepting the popular views of a social group. Hence the Belonging Urge is satisfied and rationalised in the conscious mind as correct judgement. Dislodging such an opinion means disturbing the comfort of belonging, and upsetting the self-image. A leader whose desire for authority outstrips his desire for truth subconsciously manipulates this widespread psychological mechanism. A leader primarily motivated by the desire for truth will, on the contrary, find popularity is not something he attracts since his ways don’t satisfy the subconscious need for approval and acceptance in others. %%% 21. %%% THAT YOUR TEACHER OR LEADER IS OFTEN ATTACKED BY SECULAR OR SPIRITUAL AUTHORITIES DOES NOT NECESSARILY IMPLY S/HE’S A COSMIC GENIUS BEYOND CRITICISM. IF S/HE’S INDISCRIMINATELY ENLARGING HIS OR HER FOLLOWING, AND GROUP PROGRESS IS THE ONLY PROGRESS, YOU MAY BE NOWHERE. IF S/HE SEEMS TO BE ENGAGING IN HEALTHY SELF-CRITICISM AND IS WILLING TO REVIEW HIS OR HER WORK IN THE OVERALL PATTERN OF THE PLANET, THEN WE SEND OUR KINDLY REGARDS. %%%%%%%% No hard and fast rules on all these matters exist because, at the root of the issue of correct and misguided authority, is the faculty of discrimination. Yet this faculty is, in a very real sense, a mature fruit of the search rather than a starting condition. A constant interplay of disillusionment and emergent faith hones this faculty. However, in a qualitatively infinite universe, any claim to perfection remains relative, and the finest teachers can be distinguished by exhibiting the best learning. The open mind and heart will always be listening for the criticism that will further development, from whatever source, The way out is a broadening and deepening appreciation of the living, conscious development on the planet, organically and cosmically tuned. Such appreciation is not helped by identification with this or that, or by emotionalism disguised as commitment. PARALLEL YOUNIVERSITY www.parallel-youniversity.com At some critical point we do develop right faith that what we are doing is the correct path for us, under valid leadership.  CHECK THIS PIECE OUT FROM WARP PLAY 1 - I dissolve everytime I read it Once there was a people who lived on a wild land now called America. And those people, raw as rock and eagle, loved the land, loved the air loved the sun, loved the winds, loved the animals, loved the spirits, loved each other and loved as one tribe the Great Spirit! and the brave loved the squaw with a love strong and silent and she loved him, with a heart soft, deep and rich and they knew how to see deep into each other's soul and could pass beyond into the Great Mystery And at night, beneath the bobbing stars, they would melt into one another, and soar as one soul, through the endless sparkling mystery. And the whole tribe, united in truth's passion, would fly as one light through eternity's love. And whilst they glided through the heart of infinity The Great Spirit would protect their surrendered bodies, holding the circle of painted teepees with his gentle light And they lived a life harmonising strength and beauty But then one day the white man anaemic with reason smashed into their soft circle and ripped them apart with his cruel corners. And we stared into each other's anguished eyes and loved through the hammering burning hate And the wounds hurt hurt HURT and we were crushed crushed CRUSHED of life but we stayed, seeing deep into the heart as we died died DIED And we left our strangled, mangled, charred bodies smouldering in the compost of our culture as we floated as one soul into the other world and then... we came back back BACK, and I'm here, and you're here, and I'm a spy for love, yeah I'm a spy for love. I'm the beaten Indian in a white man's body 'cause I'm a spy for love yeah, I'm a spy for the Great White Spirit, Yeah, I'm a spy for love And you, O woman, carry the pitcher of knowledge in your heart and I've got the eyes of light the Great White Spirit gave to see with, to see with, and you've got to give that juice, give that juice 'cause we need it to fly with, to fly with, and I adore you, 'cause I see who you are, cause I've jumped time. oh, yeah I'm a spy for love ,a spy for love --yeah, a spy for love! See you at the event :)April 1st

Everytime that we are together people are going home feeling differently than they did before. Everytime we give something just for the sake of it we are turning wrinkles into beauty canals. Everytime that you share a little understanding of what you have learned from this world and our situation, you have spread a nugget of balance. These things will go far just like a plague, love spreads but it needs willing bodies to spread it's warm infection. Before I was involved with this event I thought I had learned and loved and shared a lot and I had but I've gleaned so much from so many people (terrible with names I am)I know what we've got to do to keep this little part of the planet in operation. It's hard work, there are lots of humming and haaing, politics etc but most large scale operations have that unfortunately. Hey guess what? There are actually some nice people left in the world but like that old saying "you have to turn over a lot of pebbles to find a beautiful shell". Peace, passion and poetry. Love Spacegirl

Having read all the hurt, anger and confusion on this page and having been deeply disappointed by RavElation, I agonised about whether we should go to the Warp at the Drome again. I was deeply saddened, not only by the wounds suffered and inflicted by so many paticipants in the story so far, but by the willingness of some to become so polarised in the debate. How can we hope to change the world for the better if we fall into the old trap of seeing everything only in black and white? I don't know enough of the history to sit in judgement but it seems to me that Fraser has achieved great things, for which I am enormously grateful, and has also made some grave mistakes. The only way to avoid making mistakes is to do nothing. It also seems to me that some of Adam's actions have been of dubious integrity (the New Year's Eve bash at the Drome certainly looked to many like a cynical misrepresentation). Anyway, when we heard about the Warp event on the 1st/2nd April we were thrown into a dilemma. Would it be wrong to support an event at the Drome in the light of our doubts about Adam's integrity? Would it be disloyal to Fraser, without whom, whatever his faults, the Warp Experience would never have got off the ground? Or would staying away be disloyal to those of our friends who had put so much into the Warp Experience and had already decided to participate in this event? Many of those friends we would never have met without the Warp. The debate went on and we found ourselves at odds with each other. Andy felt we should go, I thought we shouldn't. I said we shouldn't support anything at the Drome while we had doubts about the honesty of its management. He said we'd be cutting off our nose to spite our face and hurting our friends on a point of principle. We slept on it. We spoke to people. I cast the I Ching (if you're interested, I drew Hexagram 9, 'Taming Power' with lines 3, 4 & 6 moving, leading to Hexagram 58, 'The Delighted'). Eventually, I changed my mind. I came to the conclusion that the Warp community, within which we had found so much joy, love and growth, is bigger than any individual. Bigger than Fraser, even if he started it, bigger than Adam, whatever his faults may be, bigger than any financial issues. I concluded that to withhold our support from the family would be a greater wrong than any petty wrong concerned with alleged dodgy dealings to do with mere money, or even to do with potential harm to any individual's reputation. We arrived at about 3am, after Whirl-Y-Gig, and knew immediately we'd done the right thing. Feeling the huge positive energy flowing through the whole event felt, once again, like coming home. We left around 9.30 Sunday night, more determined than ever that this thing must not be allowed to die. It's just too important. Publishing the accounts was an excellent move (full credit to Adam for his part in that). The loss is worrying but, I hope, not too drastic at this stage. Word travels far and fast and I feel sure that the next event will see a much higher attendance. If we can continue after that perhaps we'll find ourselves arguing about whether we should try to keep the numbers down to a comfortable level. If it does start making a profit, it will take more courage to continue making the accounts public, but please, please let's keep this openness flowing. It is a perfectly acceptable aim for a business to make a fair and honest profit, and we will all benefit if our family party generates enough income for those who provide it's home and all those who contribute their skills to feel justly rewarded. Who knows: perhaps we will one day see Warp Experiences in every city, creating a family network and making a living for people all over the country! Finally (sighs of relief all round), I cast the I Ching again this evening, asking, "Which Hexagram best characterises the Warp community?" This is brilliant! I drew Hexagram 49, 'Revolution'. Spot on, or what? Here's what the book says: "In order to progress successfully, you must proceed with profound and radical changes in order to transform whatever is outdated or inadequate. It is important work that should be carried out at the right moment and with the right methods, otherwise the change will bring about more evil instead of good. "The right moment is when all the evidence indicates that deteriorating, inoperative, or corrupted elements can no longer remain in place without causing further damage. The right methods reside in equilibrium and justice. It is important to avoid any excess, whether in your motivations - which should be exempt of egocentric views - or in the dispositions you take, which should be luminous and supple. "If you operate in the right manner, your results will inspire confidence and this will increase your freedom of mind and action; if your action is incorrect, there will be mistrust, annoyance and regret. Your determination is also an important element for success: use it to act with regularity and constancy. "This hexagram urges you to be very attentive to the changing times. Each period and each season entails different demands and modifications. By trying to comprehend the laws of change, you will be able to use foresight in order to effectively respond to the needs of all things. "Predictions and Advice - A period of great and highly favourable progress through a transformation or revolution that espouses the necessities of the times. - You must have altruism and integrity in order to avoid excess." (From the 'Practical Guide to the I Ching' by Kim-Anh Lim) There was one moving line, line 4, which says, "There is nothing to regret when a time of revolution has begun. Positive transformations are already visible. Success is at hand." This gives rise to the secondary hexagram no 63, 'After Order'. I won't reproduce it here, but if anyone's interested in discussing it, or any other aspects of this reading, I'd be delighted to hear from you. I'm a novice with the oracle and would welcome a dialogue with anyone more experienced in it's use. Well, sorry this has turned out so long. Love to all Warpers. See you on 29th. Shelley

Hey fellow warpers! so if all we need is love why are so many of u bitchin and moaning? Yes there will always be problems but with positive mental attitude, love and cooperation we can overcome it all! Yes the revelation was crowded, but surely that should be seen as indication of how far this thing is spreading, how many people are involved and are wanting to know more. The warp changed my life. I stumbled across warp 9, and have never looked back. Everything i had searched for and appreciate embodied in a club. what could be better? love, happiness, frendship, dancing, good music, massages and tea! There are even children playing! So practice what you preach spread love not negative energy. And remember that even though the warp is a fantastic environment in which to experiment with drugs, its not the be all and end all of the club, and paranoia does not help spread love! Be safe be happy and be a warper, spread the word!!! See u all on May Day Weekend, at the warp and the rallies! XXXXXXXXx Gem p.s. i'm the one with blue ribbons in my dreads, come over and say hi!
